Ups and Downs of the Expanded Universe

Well, technically mitochondria are just a part of animal cells, but they're complex enough on their own that it's thought that they originally were a seperate organism on their own.

But yes, that's what midichlorians are based on.

lmfao! Nice!

Yeah, I've come to the realization that a lot of EU just blows.

No one in ANY of the movies said That life can't exist without Midichlorians.

Except Qui-Gon, who said exactly that.

Common knowledge if you've been through high school biology.

And it's Springfield, not Spriengfield.

Well I haven't... not yet, taking it next year.

Not quite yet! 😎 Though Qui Gon said that there can be no life without Midicholorians, he also said that there can be no FORCE! HA HA! which means that the midicholorians are more than a link to the force! HA HA! so therefore Quigon was right about BOTH of these statements, or he was wrong with the later which means that he very well could have been wrong about the first! HA HA!

Lemme explain how it works to you.

If the movies and EU contradict each other, the movies win. Why? They're canon. EU isn't. Qui-gon said that without midichlorians there is no life, and that they're the link to the Force. He was right about both. The Vong don't fit this? Well, it doesn't mean they don't have midichlorians, because then they couldn't exist. It simply means that the author that made them up initially and came up with that is an idiot. And being as the NJO books first starting coming out 2 years AFTER TPM came out and midichlorians were introduced, there's no excuse.

Qui-gon said that life isn't possible without midichlorians. Therefore, you are wrong, and myself, Ush, Rex, and anyone else who argued against you, is right. End of debate.

He said that without the Midi-chlorians THERE CAN BE NO FORCE

Now do you understand or must I draw you a picture?
