I suspect sarcasm because average Gulf of Mexico water temperatures are about 85 degrees, which is warmer than Atlantic temps of the same latitude.

so, since i was reponding to a post centering on racist remarks and generalising of an entire community based on the actions of a few, then somehow magically i was the one who made those racist comments?
it was all in my imagination and i was responding to some phantom poster?
i must ask then...does jaden really exist? or is he just a figment of my imagination. i need to have that answered so that i may conclude whether or not it was me who brought it up, and whether or not i need a cat scan.

Police outnumbered and outgunned
Overnight, police snipers were stationed on the roof of their precinct, trying to protect it from gunmen roaming through the city, CNN's Chris Lawrence reported.
One New Orleans police sergeant compared the situation to Somalia and said officers were outnumbered and outgunned by gangs in trucks.
"It's a war zone, and they're not treating it like one," he said, referring to the federal government.
The officer hitched a ride to Baton Rouge Friday morning, after working 60 hours straight in the flooded city. He has not decided whether he will return.
He broke down in tears when he described the deaths of his fellow officers, saying many had drowned doing their jobs. Other officers have turned in their badges as the situation continues to deteriorate.
In one incident, the sergeant said gunmen fired rifles and AK-47s at the helicopters flying overhead.
He said he saw bodies riddled with bullet holes, and the top of one man's head completely shot off.
Lt. Gen Steven Blum of the National Guard said that as many as 2,600 National Guard troops were expected to arrive in Louisiana Friday to join the nearly 2,000 who went in Thursday.
I heard New Orlean lays in Ashes...which is sad, I really wanted to visit that city......but I have to say I didn't feel as bad as that time the Buddhas got blown up or the Bhagdad Museum got Destroyed.
What really sucks though is that there is a war fought which the aggressors claim it would make their country way safer then it was before. (Not only that it increased Terrorist attacks in GB now the US needs their Soldiers to help themselves but they are stuck fighting a totally unecessary war).

NOTE!! All of those Hurricane that hit the US at that intensity were only around half the size of Katrina.
You had a more intense hurricane then Andrew but it was the size of Hurricane Ivan. Camille, Andrew and LAbour day hurricanes were intense and compact and fast moving. Katrina was Huge, slow. almost as intense.
IMO THE MOST IMPRESSIVE STORM EVER WAS HURRICANE GILBERT. However thank goodness it did not hit land at that strength.

true. apart from the human tragedy, we have lost a huge chunk of our nations rich history. its sad on so many levels
the buddahs destroyed by the taliban was terrible, but how can that compare to this?
