Pretty but not a good sign. I remember when Hurricane Ivan was at max strength. The forecaster of CNN SAID IVAN A MASSIVE AND PRETTY storm. That caused some controversy but look at The picture of Hurricane Gilbert in my last post.

I noticed when Katrina hit Florida at cat 1 strength and killed more people then Charley i know this was going to be something different.

Hey If you look at it as a thing of nature, KAtrina was a supermodel. But I've stopped looking at it like that now, tooo much saddness associated with it. This is the first time I felt ashamed of my love for hurricanes, when I saw the suffering of the people in those areas.

Meteorology is in my core, cant help but look at everything about the hurricane itself.

wait so is geophysics, SO last year for the tsunami I was amazed at the earthquake, but that quickly left me after looking at the people.

CNN Live TV is reporting that a convoy of relief supplies is arriving at Downtown New Orleans. The military is using amphibian (sp?) vehicles to deliver the supplies. The guards are heavily armed and extremely cautious. The images are incredible!

I was watching the news yesterday and was amazed at the amount of stuff that people from Chicago are donating. A local water bottling company here has sent down 5 semi-trucks of bottled water, and tons of people are donating to Salvation Army. The other day we just donated about 3 boxes of old clothes, blankets, etc.

I was watching TV and it look like now that help has finally arived in New Orleans but they still need more.

a small part of me wished that these lawless idiots would be foolish enuff to attack the armed forces so these dumb f ****s all could get slaughtered by the national guard or somthing

LA SENATOR David Vitter says he says maybe 10,000 may have died in New Orleans.
