PLANET
Shxzalor watched the human, and the brother Elite through the combat. He saw that the human was not dead. The Elite had no killed him. When the human held out a hand, and spoke, “The hate…has to end here…” Shxzalor stopped himself from running into the room and helping the human. This Keroth, it looked as though more of his brethren were opening their eyes.
Ten was near the garage when he saw Shxzalor spying in through a hole between the wall and the door. He stopped, and arched an eyebrow. What the…? He walked up to Shxzalor, “Wh-“ He started but Shxzalor cut him off. “Shh human, do not speak.” He motioned to the door with his head. Ten saw the Elite and Davaran standing inside, he moved to charge into the room when Shxzalor stopped him. “Follow me.” Slowly, as to appear unthreatening, Shxzalor opened the door, and he and Ten walked in side by side. Ten looked at Davaran, then spoke to him through the comm. “What is going on?” Shxzalor looked at Keroth. “Honorable bother, my name is Shxzalor.”
PELLICAN
”Two Covenant fighters coming in on our six!” The co-pilot shouted suddenly. Plasma flashed by the cockpit from behind. The Pilot yelled, “HOLD ON!” Before the Pelican spun off to the side, using all sorts of moves to keep out of the Seraphs guns. The Pelican rolled to one side, then shot off into the rings surrounding Diagona, “We may be able to lose them in here!” The pilot shouted.
The Pelican shot in among the asteroids, hoping to use them as cover. It was no go, the Fighters were hot on their tail. The Pelican flew under one asteroid, and around another, but the Fighters were not to be shaken. Plasma bolts shot over head, they hit one smaller asteroid, which overheated and ruptured. The debris could be heard impacting along the pelican’s hull. “Hang tight!” The Pelican went around one larger asteroid, but half way around, it suddenly landed. The Seraphs shot on the wrong way, but soon turned to come back. The pelican had gained some distance.
The pilot saw from the flying debris some of the asteroids were now moving, drifting around. That would work to their advantage, the pelican was much more maneuverable that a Seraph, it was slower. Diving in among the hellish ocean of shifting rock, he saw two that were coming together. Rolling the pelican he shot through, he was rewarded when one of the Seraph’s ran into the rocks, imploding itself. His wing mate came hurtling through the explosion, burned and smoking. It was damaged. The pelican dove deeper into the rings, Plasma was flying everywhere now, the Covenant pilot was getting desperate. Chunks of asteroid were hurtling in all directions. One particularly large asteroid was ahead of them. “We have to come around and fly through that storm!” The pilot shouted.
“Are you insane!” His partner shouted back. “We’ll get shredded!”
”Just hope that alien bastard does first, and we get out of here alive.” He didn’t tell his passengers to hold on, they already were. The pelican shot around the asteroid, hugging it’s surface, plasma bolts shot past it from all sides, hitting the rock and the heat meeting the cold caused the rock to explode outward, throwing debris in all directions, each time the Pelican jerked away. The plasma bolts could be seen through the cockpit. One pair hit right in front of them, the pelican was jerked away from the asteroid. The pilot was slammed to the side, alarms started beeping. He leveled the bird out again before shouting, “Status!”
The co-pilot shouted back, not believing his own words. “Nothing big…no breaches in the pelican, were still air tight. Electrical system is fine, were good still.”
The Pelican finished the loop, the Seraph behind it, the plasma bolts still coming. It was a wonder the guns hadn’t melted. A chunk of asteroid shot by, “Turn on Evasive Radar!” A screen lit up, showing debris, and obstacles and their trajectories. The Pelican weaved it’s way through the rock storm. “Hope that Fighter gets blown apart before we leave the hazard zone, we cant keep out of it’s guns forever.” The pilot spoke into the comm.
They pelican flew through the debris, which was flying in all directions. It could be heard pinging off the outside of the ship. “There is too much debris we have to pull out!” The co shouted, “NEGATIVE!” A brilliant ball of light appeared from behind them. “Gotcha you ba-“ However the Seraph got off one last shot, which hit one of the pelicans back engines. Suddenly the pelican rocket violently. The Pilot looked at his console. “Were hit!”
