What makes Crowley so formidable is that he was never all powerful, so he doesn't underestimate anyone, at least anymore.even Cas is dumb enough to underestimate them.
That was evidently clear on the last epside when he told Dean that he couldnt beat him because he was only human and him an angel (something along those lines). With all Cas has seen them do you would think he knew better.

Loved the last episode. Really showed us that Castiel's motives, and Crowley (who I think is an awesome villain both in writing and portrayal) was just that devious. Looking forward to next week. Also nice to see (particularly in the last few episodes) just how clever Dean is. I was always afraid as Sam became a bigger deal during the course of the series that they'd let Dean fade a little, but they haven't. He still gets his props no matter what.
This series has always, from day one, had more emphasis and focus on Dean than Sam.
Thats because Dean's awesome n Sam can be a whiny ***** half the time. I mean I like Sam but I don't love him. While Dean's jus the man!
In fact if the show continued to do good and keep renewing for more seasons n Sam ended up dying, making the show about Bobby Dean n Cas, I don't know that I'd hate it.
Don't get me wrong in general I like Sam but he can jus annoy the shit outta me sometimes. I didn't like him soulless but atleast he stopped being a whiny *****.

I don't agree, tbh. I think Dean has always been a major character, sure, but some arcs have focused heavily on Sam too.
If you rewatch most episodes, you'll notice Dean gets substantially more screen time and emphasis. Sam's definitely important, but Dean's the writers' favorite.

Don't get me wrong there were Dean episodes before but not nearly as many until season 3. And there's still just as many Sam ones now but before that it was allot more focused on him until Dean knew he was going to hell and then gained even more once he was brought back by Cas and came to realise he was destined to become Micheal's vessel and end the Apocalypse.
It's been a while since I've gone back and re-watched the earlier seasons, but it seems to me like Sam was the focus of attention for most of the first three seasons, and even if he didn't have more "screen time" he was much more essentially to the story than Dean was early on.
