Like its just the accent. no big deal. i think australian accent is the most similar to the english. way more than irish or scott!
Hmm 'in Australian Accent' G'day, the name is Bond mate, James Bond, btw shall we throw some shirmp on the barbie. Hmmm dunno about taht doesnt sound as good does it!
Aussie Bond
Yeah he definatly can but the thing is i dont think they allow non British actors to play Bond they never have, unless they decide to change that now seeing as they have run out of choices!
Doesn't anyone here remember On Her Majestys Secret Service then?
George Lazenby was an Aussie, and more to the point it didn't work, Hugh Jackman is cool, but more suited to doing a rebirth of Dirty Harry I reckon.
And Australian English, much like American English, bears no resemblance to the language spoken in the UK at all, lets face it the US had to redub Mad Max and even worse The Acid House they had to subtitle for the US market.... so maybe it would be easier to just make Vin Deisel Bond and have it done with (don't get me wrong I am a massive Bond fan, but one day the Hollywood lot will have their way anyway, better sooner rather than later)

dont let 1 bad actor with no charme ruin the rest!
Could people stop confusing the terms "England" "Britain" and "the UK" please? They are three different things!
There has only been one English Bond actor and that was Moore. Connery was Scottish, Lazenby Australian, Dalton Welsh and Brosnan is Irish. ALL of them have done perfectly convincing cultured English accents so as long as the person can pull of the Bond persona it doesn't matter WHERE he is from.

Sorry i thought all those consist of Great Britain. i was under the impression Bond would only be played by an actor from Great Britain (not knowing lazenby was aussie) Anyways hows about Harrison Ford as Bond!! Sorry just thought i would throw that out there for fun.
