Cyclops vs. Storm

I still say she finds some instantanious weather manifestation to block/out meneuver his initial strike, flash freezes him, then hits him in the face with a bowling ball sized tornado.

Sure they do, but they don't have the force needed to level buildings and such. Cyclops' optic blast does.

storm destroys him. his blast must not be too much faster because in worlds apart he blasted first then she deflected it. it takes storm no time to summon any effect. the books usually describe her speed with less that a tought or faster than the blink of an eye..... storm takes cyclops down.

Now I'm intrigued and I wonder...can you prove it?

Storm should win, but Scott is just to fast and accurate with his optic blast.

Actually that's a good question. How fast are Cyclop's optic blast? Seeing that people have blocked and dodge them before.

I'm guess, nowhere near the speed of light, maybe somewhere aroud the speed of sound.

they've been shown to be faster than they were in world's apart anyways.

But the way this match is set up I think Cyclop's does have the slight advantage. In all honesty, it's tailor made for him really. Start them any further apart and Storm wins. And also, let's not underestimate Storm either. She knows Cyclops just as well as he knows her. This really doesn't come down to any physical or strategic superiority on his part. He can blast faster.

And just to play devil's advocate (and forgive me if this has already been debated and debunked), but doesn't storm have shields? I doubt they are strong enough to withstand one of Cyke's serious blasts, but would it be strong enough to save her from a standard blast?

Storm's winds have been able to combat Jean's tk, so yea she has some pretty good defenses.

Didnt storm beat cyke without even using her powers?
