Storm does not have anything approaching limitless power... the protests to the contrary come from a small group of people eager to bump up a character they love to a level they aren't capable of competing on...

Hell current Thor? Rune king thor? No contest... the only way Storm can attack him is through weather based actions... Thor can negate them magically with tbut a thought. Even if by some miricle for Storm they stalemate on weather control.. Thor is alot stronger, and has alot more in his arsenal that would allow him to beat Storm handily.

Thor's control of the weather is also a tad different, as he controls it through the use of magic.

Errr? It took Storm all her strength to stop a storm Shaman created easily by throwing a powder into the air. She even said the previous time she tried to make a storm like Shaman did, it nearly killed her.

Yep, Working WITHIN the earth and directly controlling all of it's elements as it's component parts (energy) can take it's toll. I have no problem with that.

She resepcts the planet she lives on. She not all stupid and eosn't have the help of magicdoing everything which also makes her>>>>Thor.

Yet Shaman who's prior powerset doesn't always perform weather manipulation performed this feat with ease. While Storm nearly died even when she tried to before the same feat.

Now I don't feel Shaman is on par with weather manipulation of Thor as he doesn't have the feats. However, as shown magic basically does what Storm struggles to do easy

It does matter, as with the Superman example, comics are filled with hyperbole, what she did with the power will tell us just how impressive a feat it actually was.

Umm... have you read the whole story? Shaman magical storm took time to build to that level, at leaset half a day. IIRC, the storm grew so big that it overwhelmed Shaman's magical wards. In the end, Ororo had to stop it before it got to far.

Anyway...as I said earlier Thor is more powerful while Storm is more creative. Magic is greater then mutant power.

Yes, I have and if you read Shaman's other apperances? Shaman creates storm or manipulates them with a single powder and he has done similar things instantly. Even here he his was a noob Shaman who basically just became Shaman not to long ago.

Heck, Storm was struggling to even manipulate the storm when it was first created when they were on the DC-10. She was shocked, and couldn't manipulate it or doing so would bring down the plane.

Also where or where did it state the storm was to much for Shaman?
