Ditto, Statutory rape and actual rape are not equal, morally or legally, nor should they be.

Atleast we agree on something.

Oh, and Urizen, thanks for speaking logically in that last post. It is a lot easier for me to see your points when your not telling me I'm full of BS, but explaining where we disagree. We still disagree, but that doesn't mean we can't be civil.

I began speaking logically simply because YOU began speaking logically. I did so, because you actually started to speak for yourself instead of using religion to shield all of your answers (like many on this thread do)

Yes, we can agree to disagree, but i would appreciate if you countered my previous points, and answered some of those questions.

Thanks 😉

Option 1).

Option 2 isn't rape by any means of logic. And it certainly isn't punishable by the death penalty unless your state has three-strike rule or something.

I heard of one poor 18-year old gay teen in Kansas who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for having sex with his 17-year old boyfriend....

I agree.

And that's horrible, Kansas is another century-back in time Red State, and the main reason they probably sent that 18 year old boy to 10 years in prison, was not due to statuatory rape, but most likely cuz he was Gay, and in his situation was easy to make an example of.

That sucks.

Totally against the death penalty.

I' not as long is can be proving without a doubt and with forensic evidence........then it should be done.

Nothing can be that clearly proven and there's hardly any advantage of it..I wouldn't say that I am against it, but I wouldn't install it in a country I was asked to reform.

Reform how?

I meant that as a way to clarify my opinion towards abortion.

The death penalty kills the innocent, the mentally ill, and the mentally incompetent.

And the guilty....

The death penalty is so much more expensive than life imprisionment beacause of the high rates of error that occur at each stage and the persistence of high error rates over time and across the nation, which mandate multiple, expensive judicial inspections.

Wow, you're right but I wanted to say good job. Finally someone that doesn't just say the death penalty costs more without understanding the reasons behind it.

Thanks Soleran, im in Criminal Justice.. Hey nice to see you over here i thought you were always at the versus...

And what should be done with the mentally incompetent? In most cases they are not responsible to be what they are.........And many who stop taking their medications do it for the fact that it makes them feel like zombies.............so, what are we to do with these people who are like us, yet they have a hard time to function here amongst us?? They are truly very nice people, for I have met some that my family has been trying to help..............I look into their eyes and see me and you and the world and they just don't know what to do.

This country is supposed to be a beacon of justice and freedom for the rest of the world. In fact, by continuing to administer capital punishment, we place ourselves in the company of other countries such as China, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Nigeria, and Uganda, countries whose civil rights violations we deplore.

Very good argument I think. Of course in no way a new one, but you are a good addition to the GDF it seems.

Im afraid that as long as America spends near most of its money on war and yes a powerful army, we will not have the right programs for those people.

Capital punishment for the mentally unfit? Especially knowing where they are coming from?
