I do not believe prisoners should be given more rights than their victims. Protective custody should be abolished for the sick individuals who murder and rape children. They do not deserve any rights.

So..you want people to get murdered and raped...that's what you are saying..right?. Yes it is.

Ive worked in prisons for a good while. Ive seen things done to people that.......well I wont mention them here. It costs an unbelievable ammount of money to house inmates. Even if givin the death penalty your looking at 10-20 years of appeals. I support it. Save the tax payers money, save other people possible injury and give the poor victims some closure.

*** for tat. If you rape someone, why shouldn't you be given a taste of your own medicine?

The electric chair is fun to watch.

That scene on 'The Green Mile' was freaky.

So if someone steals, cut their hands off?

Wow, good revenge stystem you got there. Too bad the rest of us live in 2006 AC, as opposed to 3000BC.

I'm not reading all this, so if I missed anything someone pls sumerise. I believe noone has the right to take the life of another(and it's also a sin, a BIG one). And life in prison can be much worse than death.

Maybe when we will have a way to say with absolute certainty and without any doubt that someone is guilty maybe then the death penalty would be at least reasonable, but I'm sure that when that time comes we would either have no crime worthy of it or we would have ways of reabilitating anyone.

Life in prison is not always worse. A inmate no matter how uneducated can make quite a life for himself in prison. Thru violence and subjugation he can rule literally hundreds of others. Money, drugs and sex are all his any time he wants. No, life in prison is not nearly as bad as you think it is. Im a career corrections professional. Trust me Ive seen it to many times. Thats why inmates get institutionalized. Their someone in prison but nobody on the outside.

Well in this country, we have this thing called the eighth amendment, which states '' no cruel or unusual punishments inflicted ''

Does this law extend to those held in Guantanamo Bay? I think not.

All I am basically saying here is that the criminals have more rights than the victim. Take rape cases, for example. In court, nothing of the accused's past can be dug up, prior rape convictions, etc, but the victim is made to look like a two bit whore. Not fair, I say. Give more rights to victims, and take them away from the accused.

No ah days victims in court are known as witnesses.

Give everyone to this guy and I can overlook the death penalty, wow.

That's just brutal.

I don't like the death penalty, and it's sad it exists, but some people deserve being executed.

Honestly it depends.

I mean some people deserve it others although are horrible people, should rot in their cells for their crimes

Honestly this coming from the guy who said "Jesus's teachings can like my balls", makes me wonder if your not going to kill someone one day 😐

Honestly im stuck on this issue.

I believe some scumbags arent even human anymore.

But, then I remember Jesus's teachings.

We have to show them why they are wrong and why we are right.

Crossing that line in a sense makes us as bad as they are

Exactly. To enact Revenge is to equate yourself with that person.

So?

Prison is legalized revenge in a sense. Theirs several places for rapists and murderers to be like lime pits and tall trees at the end of short ropes. Society is not one of them....

So you are no better when you commit an act that is equal to what the criminal did him or herself.

Do if if you want, but do not call yourself his or her moral superior.
