I directed the question at you because you display a great number of fundamentalist Christian points of view. I also wanted to return the topic back to something to do with homosexuality and religion.

I say them because i do not fully agree with most Christians on certain things. I believe that the majority of the Christians have twisted the Bible into their own words.

As far as what someone else does with their life is none of my business. I may not agree with what they do, but as long as they are good to me im good to them.

Unless the men that wrote the Bible dictated the words of God then it is not his words but the translation of man and since man is flawed their would be errors in either the new or old testament. How could man translate the word of a being that defies all time and space and all laws of man, a being that knows of all and that exists outside of time and space and at the time it was written they barely had an understanding of the universe much less Earth.

As for the Arc they are having a harder time trying to prove that it is and not that it is not, they speculate on things that they cannot understand or conceive of. The link that I posted is full of explanations of the different things that they found. Even B.A.S.E has said that they have not found the Arc.

As for disproving something that I have not heard of, you are correct until you post your evidence that the Bible predicted planes. Once you have posted your “proof” then I can take a look at your evidence and either prove or disprove it. Just because I do not know every passage of the Bible word for word doesn’t mean anything, you present your evidence and your conclusions and I will present mine. You have made the claim and it is your responsibility to provide evidence to validate your claim.

You also made the claim that the Bible is not true, and you never pointed out anything wrong about it.

So far the Bible has talked about an arc, how big it was, and where it ended up. Today they have found a formation the exact same size in the exact same location.

As i stated before, when christians today started translating the Bible it is a known fact that they mixed the word around of a lot of verses. Tyndale was a person who pointed out some of the flaws of the translations and they hung him for it.

I recommend that you start a thread and tell us some of these "majority of the Christians have twisted the Bible into their own words". I would be interested to hear what you have to say. Your answer to my question was surprising. Maybe I will be surprised again.

You have made the claim that the Bible is true and I asked you to give your examples which you have not. I could go into all the things that I have found that are untrue but I would be going over the same things I have talked about in many other threads, which I do not feel like doing. However your examples of the planes and government do interest me because I have never heard anyone reference them before and I would like to see those passages.

There are many things in the Bible that are true just as well, I look at the Bible as one of the most important history books of our time but that is all. I hold no faith that the “mystical” things that happened are true. I base this off of how people even today think common tricks such as magic be founds them and even with the knowledge that it is a trick they still believe, you couple that with the level of understanding that people in the past that wrote the Bible and it just compounds that. The simple trick of heat rising of the hot sand looks like water, they wouldn’t have understood the thermodynamic that cause this effect but would have perceived it as water.

I never straight out said the Bible was true. I said it has never been proven false. You on the other hand straight out claimed the Bible was wrong. If you do not feel like explaining the wrongs of the Bible why bring it up?

As far as the planes i will look it up. I don't think Jesus refered to it as planes though.

Sounds like a good idea. I might just do that.

That sounds like saying that the Bible is true? I also posted a scripture that says everything that God says is true, and the Bible is supposed to be the word of God.

Please tell me where I say "You on the other hand straight out claimed the Bible was wrong." I have never said that, it is wrong on many things but I have never once said the entire Bible is wrong about everything.

So Jesus never mentioned flying machines, flying boat or anything like that? So basically what you are saying is that you are speculating as to what Jesus meant as is the nature of any prediction that they Bible has made, you can make it mean anything that you want. Take all of the predictions to the end of the word, religious scholars have predicted the exact date that the world will end for generations based of the scriptures and it hasn't yet.

Here are a couple.

Joshua 10:12-14
"And the sun stopped in the middle of the sky and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day"

Isaiah 38:7-8
"This shall be the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do this thing that he has promised. Behold, I will make the shadow cast by the declining sun on the dial of Ahaz turn back ten steps." So the sun turned back on the dial the ten steps by which it had declined.

If these events did happen they would have been seen around the world and they would have been other stories written about such an event that corresponds to the Bible's account. So why is there no stories to back up this?

I still never said the Bible was completely true. I never even told you whether or not i believed in the Bible. I said the Bible has never been proven false. Like i said earlier in the post, it is irrelevent whether or not i believe the Bible to be true or not, because i have no proof that it isn't.

Are you a scholar that has read every ancient text around the world?

Will you stop acting so childish and just simply answer the questions that I asked you, if you continue this line of trolling I will just have to leave you alone since it is like talking to JIA.

Man these sock accounts are getting annoying, I had so much hope for you. 😖 😐

You are only getting annoyed because you can not prove the Bible wrong.

No I'm getting annoyed because you are acting childish by answering questions with question which a 4 year old would do. I have posted several scriptures that shows that the Bible accounts are in error, and what have you posted?

One, if the Sun was "stopped" or went backwards the entire world would have seen this and it would have been written in many other texts about the Sun stopping or going backwards.

Two, they say the Sun stopped rotating around the Earth and the last time I checked it is the Earth the rotates around the Sun so in fact they would have had to have stopped the Earth from spinning on it axis and an all knowing being would have known that to tell it to his scribes.

Three, what about the biblical account of a dragon. Last time I checked dragons were mythical and the Bible accounts that there is only one "dragon" but even if you say they did exist then why does almost every other culture in the world talk about dragons? He surely got around.

I could keep going on but I will leave you with this...

DT 6:5, MT 22:37, MK 12:30, LK 10:27
Love God.

DT 6:13, PS 33:8, 34:9, 111:10, 115:13, 128:1, 147:11, PR 8:13, 16:6, 19:23, 22:4, IS 8:13, LK 12:5, 1PE 2:17
Fear God.

Isaiah 38:7-8 can be taken as a metaphor. I hear people say all the time that the sun has went down, even though they know it is not the sun moving, but the earth.

In the Bible it says people will burn in hell fire, but the Bible uses the term hell fire as a metaphor, as it also says death will burn in hell fire. How can death burn unless it was a living creature?

Another thing it is not being childish it is being technical. The Bible is one of the oldest books in the world, so it is kind of hard to find other writings back in those times. You can not say something is wrong because it was not written in any other books, unless you have read the books from those times.

Tell me where in the Bible it talks of dragons.

The only thing The Bible is evidence of is that ink sticks to paper. [/end argument]

It is childish responding to a question with a question over and over.

Isaiah can be taken as a metaphor but it can also be taken as literal as many people do with the entire Bible. At that time people thought that the Sun revolved around the Earth so how do you know that the Bible implied differently? You want to say that the Bible is just a bunch of metaphors, so why wouldn’t the Arc be a metaphor as well, what makes one story a metaphor and the other not? Is it when put to task with facts people all of a sudden say that it was meant as a metaphor, go figure.

As for the dragon http://www.atruechurch.info/leviathan.html

As for the Bible it is one of the oldest books I will give you that, but not the oldest bar far and there are numerous writings, paintings and stories LONG before the Bible was even conceived and I can’t really believe you said that. You are correct that just because no one else witness an event that it didn’t happen, however if you are in a full stadium and you say that something happened in the middle of the football field and the other 60,000 of people saw nothing who would you believe? While it doesn’t prove that it didn’t happen but the shear odds that one person out thousands saw something and that it was real is astronomical. Then you couple the fact that the Sun is the giver of life and a god to most cultures at that time and that there god for a day stood still or went backwards wouldn’t be note worthy? Hell people used to kill themselves during an eclipse because they thought the world was coming to an end.

I’m still waiting for your evidence that the Bible talking about planes and the government? You say that nothing in the Bible has been proven false and that most of the predictions of the Bible have come true then lets see them, so in other words put up or shut up.
😉
