As for the Bible it is one of the oldest books I will give you that, but not the oldest bar far and there are numerous writings, paintings and stories LONG before the Bible was even conceived and I can’t really believe you said that. You are correct that just because no one else witness an event that it didn’t happen, however if you are in a full stadium and you say that something happened in the middle of the football field and the other 60,000 of people saw nothing who would you believe? While it doesn’t prove that it didn’t happen but the shear odds that one person out thousands saw something and that it was real is astronomical. Then you couple the fact that the Sun is the giver of life and a god to most cultures at that time and that there god for a day stood still or went backwards wouldn’t be note worthy? Hell people used to kill themselves during an eclipse because they thought the world was coming to an end.

I’m still waiting for your evidence that the Bible talking about planes and the government? You say that nothing in the Bible has been proven false and that most of the predictions of the Bible have come true then lets see them, so in other words put up or shut up.

People at that time also did not believe the world to be round, whereas i believe that the Bible hinted that it was round.

As for the planes(which was not mentioned by name), i believe it was mentioned in either the book of Matthews-John. And about the government i believe it is mentioned in the book of Daniels or Revelations. I will get you the exact verses sometime.

You should read the book of Isaiah. It foretells a lot about Babylon, how it would rise to power, how it would be brought down, and how after its fall it would not be inhabited today. Well it all came to pass.

As far as Leviathan i don't believe he was straight out identified as a dragon. The only time i heard mention of the name Leviathan was also associated with a body of water, hinting to be some kind of water creature.

If the Sun did stop in the sky for an entire day there would have been stories about it, I have read many old texts and stories including the Bible and it is only the Bible the mentions this. Cultures of the past painted the Sun, documented its passing and noted all sorts of things about the Sun and that it stopped for a day wasn’t one of them that corresponds to this event. Also with process of elimination and watching human behavior and how people of that age treated the sun, an event of that would have been recorded. Just as we can convict someone of murder even if we do not have a body, if all the evidence points to a conclusion that conclusion must be true if there is nothing to prove other wise.

Also I can be proven that the Sun has never stopped for one day or much less the Earth because the rotation of the Earth and Sun are at a constant rate and if they change it would be off, unless by some “magical” reason God made it jump forward in time.

This also comes back to my original post that you can not prove something wrong when you don’t have any answers. You say that Hell is a metaphor and others say that it is not, some say that the Sun stopping was nothing more than an eclipse, or a cloud covered sky from the same faith. All of these can be taken as a metaphor, so how is one supposed to prove something wrong when you do not even know what the answer is?

My view on Homosexuality is that I'm against it. It shouldn't be on Earth and it has caused so much confusion about who people are supposed to be. It's even gotten down to the youth, it's a sad thing that they have to be exposed to it at a young age however this has gone on for a while now. It's true that some religions promote homosexuality. Religion is of man, as long as man is in charge there will always be corruption and confusion. However, when a man gains a relationship with Christ he doesn't need these things. He strives for a path that is "straight".

No but i know the technology back then was not as great as today, so the wars were not as harsh. In our times we had two WORLD WARS. It is a fact times are getting worse. Most of the elderly people will tell you that many more people felt safe leaving there doors unlocked at night back then, and that if children would disrespect there parents like they do now the consequences would be worse. Is it not so that crimes are getting worse, drugs are selling more, and gangs are taking over a lot of streets? Is this my opinion or is all this really happening? Just because you do not believe a lot of "miracles" that supposedly happened back then does not make it wrong. There are people who have claimed that they have been abducted by aliens. Can you tell those people that they are wrong? No. The burden would be on them to prove that they have been abducted if they wanted people to believe them. It would be up to you rather you believe them or not.

Again you are the one claiming the Bible to be fiction, even though it is not categorized as being fiction. If you are a figment of my imagination i must have a very complex mind.

Could be that God is controling all the fundamental elements of the Universe, but i never read any where in the Bible that claims God to be living in the clouds throwing lightning. Why would i even try to prove that Zues is false when there are not too many people who believe that way. He is after all considered to be part of GREEK MYTHOLOGY. So who would there be to prove Zues to be false. On the other hand there are millions who believe the Bible to be completely true, even a lot of very smart scholars, but you think you are going to prove them all wrong?

There has been war at all times throughout recorded history, it has never stopped, some are bigger than others but there has been a war big or small every year. The Middle East has been fighting for how long, and this is supposed to be the Holy Land? Yes our technology is better at killing people, it is also better at ending wars quicker as well. You don’t think that if people back had access to the bomb that they wouldn’t have used it?

By default the Bible is a work of fiction since nothing in the Bible has been proven to be true, no miracle has ever been proven to happen. It is a collection of short stories based on some historical events and what people have seen or heard. What about the other religious books, why are they not just a valid as the Bible? Have they been proven false as well, they all can’t be right and they too have made predictions that people claim to have come true.

As for my schooling I do not have to point out the many of books and paintings that I’ve studied, I have taken many years of art history and have read and watched many shows on various topics in my life. I have been to many places in this world and talked to people of all races and religions. You still have not posted anything of worth for me to evaluate and I have posted many, so put up or shut up. 😉

I have family that live all over the U.S. I have many relatives in california who say that crimes and violents have gotten much worse than they was back then, the same goes for other states. I was born and raised in Arizona, and crimes here are getting worser and worser. It has gotten to the point where many civilized people do not like going outside at night. You don't have to watch the news to know that crimes are getting worse. I hardly ever watch the news and i know this. All you need is communication from people in different places. You are about the only person that i know of, who believes crime is the same.

Whether or not they would have used bombs back then is irrelevent, because they did not have them. I also don't know about bombs making wars quicker. I do know that wars are worse as far as casualties now, because of the technology.

You still have not proven nothing false about the Bible. Now if the Bible said that the world would end in the year 2002, then you can say "Well hey, the Bible was wrong at predicting this so it is wrong". You say stuff like "Well the events were not recorded in other books so it makes it wrong".

So far, even after all these years, scientists have not proven scholars wrong about the Bible, but you think you have? Do you think that if the Bible was that easily proven false that there would be so many believers in it today? Do you think that the U.S was "founded" under an already proven-false God?

Why bring up other writings if you can not name at least one?
