Anyone know how Wii is connected to the Internet? I heard somewhere that it only has an USB entrance thingy (never remember the international word) and that with the console it follows a converter where u put the Internet cable into and plugs into the Wii USB. However this would mean that u have to remove your Internet connection from your computer to Wii, which sounds kinda stupid.

It has built in wireless, so if you have a wireless router it'll connect automatically.

Well ofc if I had wireless then it wouldn't be a problem. That's why I ask.

Then I believe you need an ethernet adapter for the Wii, which you can plug a regular ethernet cable from your modem into. If you have a router, you don't need to unhook your computer from the internet or anything.

So you havent seen the E3 2006 or gone to Nintendos website and read some of their info, all this info right infront of your eyes and you cant come to a conclusion. Its clear you want to be spoon feed everything so I refuse to continue this pointless argument.

I do have a router, however that one is 10 meters away from my computer, which has a 15 meter cable running to the router. So in this case I have to choose between Wii internet or COmputer internet, is it possible to split one cable into to two cables? Like a "ethernet extansion cable" thingy?

whos arguing? wait, dont answer that.

yeah i have a similar question regarding the internet connection to my 360. i want to get live, but i dont wanna get another internet connection in my house. is there any easy way i can like link the internet from my computer to my xbox without taking the internet away from my cpu? like a router or something?

You would need a wired router or a wireless router. Then all you have to do is connect them using a CAT5 (Ethernet Cable) to your PC and Xbox or using the Xbox Wireless WiFi adaptor.

ps3 went down the drain 😱

If your router has multiple ethernet ports (which it should), then you simply need another cable.

i can hook up wireless internet, but would i have to buy a wireless connecter for my 360?

I have no idea, I don't have a 360. Look it up.

nah thats okay, el nino's gonna be nice enough to tell me.

The answer is yes because I am in the process of doing the same thing 😉

thats shitty, and most likely not going to happen. might do the router thing, prolly just wont get live though. last thing i need to do is play more videogames anyways.

I have a 360 but use a Linksys think to hook up online.

Get Gears of War; it will be worth it to play online.

Can you explain how that was a better name now that we see why Nintendo changed the consoles name?

...I don't know, maybe I don't dig stupid puns just as much as you do.
