Does anyone remember Sega Dreamcast...well apparently before they settled on the controller that is now a part of history, they decided to do what nintendo has chosen as their new controller for the REV.

click on this link then click on the link in the paragraph that says "something on green hill zone"

And the woes continue for PS3...

I believe its because they want to launch around the same time Blu Ray drives come on sale also

About the post about the Dreamcast.

Basically, Sega thought about doing an controller like the Rev, but didnt do it because of quality issues. Probably meaning, it didnt work.
I dont know if the pictures are actually real or not.

ITS OFFICIAL... PS3 HAS BEEN DELAYED UNTIL NOVEMBER...

Its also a possiblility that PS3 will not go on sale for 2006 Christmas season

Kutaragi told the crowd at the event that the PS3 would now launch in November 2006 worldwide. That dispelled fears that the console would make it to Japan by the fall but would miss the all-important holiday shopping season in the US and Europe. In fact, Kutaragi explicitly told the crowd of game retailers and journalists present that the PS3 would arrive before Thanksgiving in all territories.

that's not bad, everyone gets ps3 before the end of the year. 💃

Besides announcing the delay, Kutaragi made official another widely reported aspect of the PS3. He said that Sony is indeed preparing an Xbox Live-like online gaming service for the console, which would be called the "PlayStation Network Platform."

that's good news ...... I wonder if Nintnedo will do anyting like this.

While the simultaneous tri-territory PS3 scheme may sound much like Microsoft's international launch of the Xbox 360, Sony plans to avoid the shortages that befell its competitor. Kutaragi said that the company plans on producing at least 1 million units of the console each month in order to keep the supply channel full. He said the goal was to ship 6 million PS3s worldwide by March 2007.

great, no shortages

Kutaragi also said that PS3 games would be released only on Blu-ray discs, as DVDs have become too easy for software pirates to duplicate. The high-capacity format is capable of storing around 50GB on a single disc. Sony reps confirmed the PS3 will still play DVDs and CDs, as well as PS2 and PS discs, as previously announced.

good, backward compatibility

the ONLY thing that I worry is the price of ps3s ... rumour has it, it's going to be the most expensive console ever. 😠

£450 is the most expensive...hmmm...im gonna leave and sort out my sig...it is very basic...and i must say that xbox 360 is very good compared to most other things...in my opinion...but you have to have games made in england to play an english console...

Um...delayed? Sony never gave an official release date, they gave a target time of the year (Q1, Q2 etc...) But never said "The PS3 WILL come out on this day, or month." In fact, all they said was "We are aiming for blah blah blah" No promises were ever made.

With all of the rumors that it wouldn't be coming out until next year, I'm elated that it's being released this year. Yay Sony.

✅ That's all I'm worried about as well, but until I here an official announcement from Sony, I'm staying optimistic.

At E3, they said it will be released in the spring. And a couple of weeks ago, the head honcho said it was still going to be released in the spring. So yes, it's delayed.

Sony seriously needs to get thier heads out of thier asses. XBOX 360 will been already out for over a year, and it probalby will have some killer apps. This could seriously hurt PS3 launch. Remember what happened to the original XBOX. XBOX was released an year later in the autumn months (just in time for Christmas), but any casual gamer who wanted a console for Christmas ended up with an PS2, because of all the wicked games. It could happen to Sony this year.

And really, if the 360 drops in price, and the PS3 is really expansive (Blue Ray players are going to be sold for an thousand bucks), Sony could lose its fanbase, especially considering alot of casual gamers have one.
Then we're not taking Sony's amazing manufactering and durable factor here. Its almost an certain that they're will be some sort of problems with the PS3.
I'm seriously considering getting an XBOX 360, but I think ill wait until I atleast see something about the price of the PS3, whats games are being made and the graphics.
( I'm already getting an Revolution)

hmmm...im getting revolution and i already have xbox 360...i might buy PS3 if i can afford it...

😆 😆

That blah blah part is really important seeing hows it delayed until November because of the Blu Ray drives

This is very surprising... I would think that Microsoft would wait until the 360 is clear from bad criticism to launch a hand-held

Oh and I also read that PS3 is being delayed because SONY used technology that a NINTENDO owned company created.... this technology is the RUMBLE in your controllers, very strange events happening to SONY

Evidence of SONY's PS2 controller haveing rumble capabilities.

Great article about how NINTENDO, SONY and MICROSOFT will fight it out this holiday season

I just got a 360 along with Oblivion. It's safe to say I won't be doing anything else for a long time. Like eating or sleeping. Nope, just good old oxygen to keep me alive for the next year or so.

I already know PS3 will rule yet again, and I am glad that it will. The 360
has no chance, the ps2 is keeping up with it, if not surpassing it as far
as games. But I would like to see Nintendo take back its throne once again, and become #1 in the home console war. The controller is a bit iffy, but it is actually what they need to win. They are going to bring new innovation to video games.

Why will it rule?

Is it because it's the most expansive?
Or, the graphics you havnt seen in real time?
Or, the games you dont know thats coming out?

Yes, the PS2 is keeping up with the XBOX 360 in terms of games.
Why is that?

Maybe, because developers are just finally getting the hang of the 360?
Or maybe, because it was released just 5 months ago?
Or, maybe because the PS2 has been out for 5 years?
Or, maybe because the PS2 still has a viable market?

Comparing PS2 to the XBOX in terms of games being released is like comparing the GBA to the PSP in terms of games being released.

Anyways, does it ****ing matter if the PS2 is still releasing more games that XBOX 360?
How does that mean that the PS3 is going to be number 1?

Atleast, when I say that the PS3 might be overtaken by the XBOX 360, I give some sort of analysis on why, and not some fanboy thinking.

well said....i think..😕....😂
im not saying anything until the rev screens arrive

PS3 game will be region free... Freaking sweet.

More amazing news about PS3's new controller redesign. I think they are doing this because they lost the case which was about them stealing the technology from another company. (Rumble Capabilties that is)
