Norm or not, exactly how many people simply decide to add $1000-$1500 worth of upgrades to their computer? In the past two years I've had my computer, the only money I've spent on it has been $150 for a new graphics card when BioShock came out. But there's no way I'd spend ten times that when that money could be better used on many, many other things.

The point is that Crysis advertised a level of graphical quality that the majority of computers simply cannot acheive. Are you required to play at that level? Of course not. Does everyone who bought the game want that level? Hell yes. Is everyone capable of that level? No, and that's the entire problem.

Enter consoles were you never have any graphical problems.

Consoles ftw.

if you want me to play your game on PC, hand me 1500 dollars so I can upgrade and I'll play your damn game. Otherwise I'll just buy the same game for the Console, with slightly worse graphics and maybe a smaller amount of people to play against Online, and flawless framerates thank you very much.

Why buy Bioshock for the PC and spend 1000 dollars to upgrade when I can buy it for the console and play it instantly and without problems?

Lies..man, lies.

I have frame rate and glitch problems all the time with some games on console...there have always been glitches and frame rate problems with every console. Granted, I have had a WHOLE lot less problems with console games versus computer games.

I was exaggerating.

Area-51 has framerate problems as does Gears of War.

But when there is problems, you cant fix it with the console. No mods, no user created maps, free online, free online content. There's alot of advantages on the PC, not including that RTS and FPS are better on the PC, and in my opinion, online gaming.

I like both but I like the games better on the PC. Always have, always will. Considering I use my computer everyday, I dont mind spending a few grand on it.

There are user created maps, not the extent of, say, Starcraft's campaign editor but you can create your own maps, there is free online play, and free downloadable content, patches are downloadable to fix things like AI, glitches, and server problems.

And the only thing I prefer on PC's are RTS's, and I've only played two RTS' frequency, Starcraft and Battle for Middle Earth, in my life. So it's just not worth it imo.

Are you saying that the computer gaming does all those things or that console does?

He said that consoles did...

I'm pretty sure Sony's online services are free, as well as the Wii's.

You can download content from games for free as well, patches are downloaded for free, etc.

We're getting to the point were there will be nothing you can do on PC that you can't do on a Console.

Except for updating hardware manually.

Correcto.

No point in updating hardware manually, though, if everythig is optimized for your system as is 😄

And I guess computer viruses will go to the consoles as well.

Eventually, yeah.

Wait, consoles are basically computers. So, um, I'll be expecting another Red Rign on my 360 in 4 weeks.

Why do you people's systems suck so much ass?

At this point I'm starting to think that its people mistreating there systems, as opposed to the 360's have flaws.

I have 3 360's and my six friends all have one each, not on one our systems has had any problems for two years.

You other people have to be doing something wrong.

I had my PS2 it never broke and I had mine the best part of 5 years, My XBOX has never broken on me (yet) and I tend to treat them very well.

About the only thing you can do to prevent the red ring of death is to keep the 360 in a well-ventilated area so that it doesn't overheat. Other than that there's not much you can do, it just happens.

Anecdotes aren't really data, btw. You and six other people don't make up any appreciable percentage of 360 owners.

I was waiting for someone to bring that last part up.

But me and my six friends are special, so we do make up the majority.

I am another one, so thats 8 people now.
