i beg to differ, the ps3 is selling, and selling well. if it werent selling than sony wouldnt have shipped over 10m units world wide. and yes, i'm using their shipped numbers. retailers are purchasing ps3s form sony coz they are selling thourgh their stocks (over 10m i believe). hence, sony being able to ship more ps3s to retailers. it is misleading to claim that the ps3 "really dont sell". if you want examples of consoles that "dont sell", there's the sega cd and the 32x and the virtual boy.honestly, i find it hard to believe that the 360 is in short supply. i mean, it has been out for more than two years, you'd think that microsoft would have already taken steps to meet demand. plus, i read somewheres that the 360 has shipped out 17.7m units and sold around 17m. so there's 700k units sitting around in stores and shelves out there. and yes, i know that many of these are arcades, but arcades are 360s so it is again misleading to claim that there are no 360s available.
but if the 360 is indeed experiencing stock issues, its probably coz microsoft is being forced to use newly manufactured xbox360s to replace damaged and unrepairable 360s hence teh shortage... 😛 j/k j/k
Dude. I WORK in a retailer. I know how much the company I work for is getting of the different systems every week (as it's in our store emails), I know how many sell, and I know how many are collecting dust in stockrooms. When we get in 360s, they sell out as fast as Wiis. When we get in PS3s, they don't go anywhere for weeks.
