I don't even know why the Wii is being talked about... It's not a games console... It just happens to get what I class as a video game once in a blue moon.... My TV set top box has a couple of video games on it... Doesn't make it a games console.

There both game consoles.

All three are fine machines and have their strengths and weaknesses.

Oh man, when it comes to consoles, do you know what I hate even more than the Wii?. PS3. Or rather its fanboys. I have seen and talked to all kinds of fanboys, and sure, they were stupid and annoying, but none of them quite take the cake like the PS3 ones. You can find them almost wherever you go, be it YouTube, forums, or even chatrooms. And everywhere they act and talk almost the same; it's uncanny.

More often than not they have delusions of grandeur: they believe that the PS3 is some kind of God's gift to the human race, some even go as far as to claim that the PS3 is literally a supercomputer and the Cell is the most powerful CPU ever created(I wish I was making this up). Many also love ranting about "massive amounts of untapped potential," too bad it's not any higher than that of, let's say, Xbox360's. And don't even get me started on the bloated gimmick that is also sometimes referred to as "Blu-Ray".

You can consider this an open letter to deluded PS3 fanboys everywhere. The PS3 is nothing special, it's overpriced, and, judging by the sales, clearly not what people want. Now repeat after me: 'The PS3 is nothing special. The PS3 is nothing special. The PS3 is nothing special.'

Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention this one. Some of them also love to point out that you are "too poor to afford one, so you're just jealous" when you criticize their holy cow, the PS3(admittedly, the XB360 camp is also guilty of this). Too bad they promptly shut the hell up when I point out that my latest gaming PC cost more than the XB360, PS3, and the Wii combined.

Sorry but the PS3 is special to me. Nice try though.

The PS3 is a better system than the 360, you'd be a fool to disagree. As a peice of hardware it's just better in everyway. The only reason people deny this is because of the console's price tag, which is stupid becasue better hardware has always costed more.

When it comes to software the 360 obviously has the advantage, it's been around longer had it's secured a decent selection of exculusive titles.

Which is better overall? Well, that's for the owner to decide. I have both, I like them both. Both consoles have exclusives worth having, and it's nice having a blu-ray player without having to buy one separately.

The Wii (which I also own) doesn't compete with either. It's fine if you're middle aged and not a gamer. All I can say is that mine has developed quite a layer of dust as I'm not prepered to go out and buy shit like Wii Fit and Wii Sports Resort... not when I could buy a game with a storyline.

The fact is that people who only have 1 console do and say anything to justify their own choice yet most likely regularly think that they may have been better off getting the other console. Rather than manning up and admitting this, they'll act like petulant children and try and mock anyone who made a difference choice than they did.

You'd have thought that after 20 years they'd have let go by now.

You know that pretty much everyone here who has a Wii also owns at least one of the other systems, right?

Also the idea that "if you like the Wii you're not a gamer" is just downright stupid. Yeah, most of the games I play I go more for story and stuff, but sometimes? I just want something I can play for 10 minutes and then go do something else. Hard to do with a lot of games on the other systems.

And I wouldn't call that post you were replying to an objective opinion.
