The point with consoles is that there is arguments to be had for each in terms of power and how that power is used to produce quality products.
If you break it down into specific catagories then you can have a case for the Wii being better than the PS3 or the 360 in some catagories...Innovation and interactivity for example. (Although the later may change depending on how well executed Natal is)
The problem when comparing all the consoles is that, without fail, the fanboys come in with their moronic statements like "PS3 is the best...Anyone who plays 360 is gay"
Pretty much gives no actual reason for them believing why the PS3 is the best other than the fact they have one.

The only thing that keeps me loyal to the 360's it's games..But i'll admit, ps3 got better graphics, clearly..And ps home's kinda looking good.

i may reconsider here (maybe). i have a nice 360 game library i built..And i love the 360 controller. But now the ps3's slimmer, which means it's gonna take up less space and make less noise than the louder 360...

I own a 360 and a Wii - I don't have a PS3 as I see little point as I've had a 360 for some time now and there's pretty much nothing exclusive for the PS3 I want. What the Wii offers is different. And may not all be for the hardcore gamers (there is no such thing as a true gamer). But that's the point of it. It's not a system for hardcore gamers. It's a system for casual gamers.
And yet, despite that, there are still many more hardcore gamers that own and enjoy it.

The thing is.. you don't know how similar the game will be unless it's of the same series... Or by the same developers... Not all JRPGs are the same... Not all FPSs are. So my view is I'll play them and find out.

It was just as much fanboy drivel, however it was swinging from the other direction. Irrational dislike is just as bad as blind love for something.
I would say that someone saying that both PS3 and 360 having positive and negative points and then saying they don't like the Wii and then giving their reasons for not liking the Wii is pretty balanced and objective and very far from fanboyism.

He said the console was good "if you aren't a gamer" meaning it has appeal beyond traditional gamers. Those 2 are most definitely not the same thing.
Strangely enough though, I wasn't even referencing that part of his post and aimed it at the rather sad PS3 v 360 debate because, like you, i believe that the Wii is aimed at a different market. And it does it far more succesfully than the 360 or the PS3 does. Most of the games are aimed at non-online multiplayer....Party games. I think, from what Spoony has posted previously, that he plays most of his games on single player or online multiplayer. If you enjoy story based games then the Wii is generally not the console for you (Obviously not including some games...Zelda being the best example)
