Hey, don't you guys think it would be better if Nintendo replaces the D-pad in the next version of the DS with an analog control, somewhat like the analog control of the PSP?The analog control won't strain your thumb as quick as the D-pad, and it gives greater directional control axis.
So long as both were available. Frankly, even though I prefer the analog stick, there are times where using a d-pad is better.
The guys back at CNET are such ****ing retards!
"ds: kiddish games, bad graphics, mic, touch, non appealing to eyes, camera game sharing, but more battery but only cause it cant do sh1t.
psp: Skype, internet, radio, wifi, game sharing, music, videos, memory stick, updates, psp store, lots of add ons, camera, kick ass graphics, lots of setting options, average battery, tons of more mature games, themes to match your personality, analog stick for smoother game play, turn off at anytime, connects to computer, and ALOT MORE.
so who do you think wins?"
👆 I agree with Mr. PwnerPivot
"Whats the point in protecting your screen when your gonna drag a pen across it?"
hysterical
"DS has WAY more features?? LOL It has some of the PSP features after some years. PSP has the best features, the best games (Best PS2 titles like God Of War, GTA, Silent Hill...) and the best graphics.
DS is for kids. "Oh look im distorting a picture" ... Whats so fun about that?? -.- The PSP screen is not easy to scratch. You cant do shit with the DS."
Oh god, my stomach hurts now
"The PSP has wi-fi internet connection dumbass. The DS Sold more cuz it was always cheaper since the beggining, sales dont matter. Wii sold more than 360 and PS3, but theres no way in hell it is better.
Wtf u talking about? There are no glitches. PSStore, loads of games, movie, music, add-ons, wallpapers... DSi?? Shit. Its a joke just like the Wii. Kiddie Toys."

Thanks, I re-read Pride of Baghdad lately, and just had to make a sig of it. Great book.
It seems likely
Apparently there were problems with the PS3 version, they're getting patched though
PS3 Modern Warfare 2 Getting Fixed Up
Trophy patch updated, online servers being upgraded, new patch on Friday
November 11, 2009 - The launch of the PlayStation 3 version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been a little rocky. Players have been reporting the title's trophies were not working properly despite being patched initially. Now, the multiplayer servers are shut down for the time being so developer Infinity Ward can perform an upgrade to meet the overwhelming demand. But it seems like the rough road is coming to an end.
Infinity Ward Community man Robert Bowling has given a few updates PS3 owners should take a look at.
"Trophy Unlocks on PS3 now available in single player & Spec Ops, adding more servers to meet multiplayer demand," Bowling wrote.
It was initially believed the second trophy update had broken the servers, but that was not the case. "The Patch was for single-player only. It's related to the servers being down at the moment during an upgrade. It'll be fixed when the servers come back up," he added.
Bowling also confirmed there will be another patch on Friday that adds party invites.
and release date and price for Natal
Natal for November 2010
14 games and low price at launch for Microsoft's motion controller.
UK, November 11, 2009 - First precise details on the launch of Microsoft's Natal technology have emerged with the motion controller slated for a November 2010 release, to be supported by 14 launch games and to retail under 50 GBP (80 USD).Details come courtesy of MCV and have emerged from a recent Microsoft tour of UK studios. Some 5 million units are also said to be being prepared for the release.
Natal was revealed at this year's E3 and is Microsoft's first serious move into a market that's become dominated by Nintendo since the launch of the Wii. There's no word on what the 14 launch titles will be, but it has already garnered the support of several key development studios, and is looking to rejuvenate the Xbox 360 console.
80$... I truly hope that's true
I would go as far as saying IW maybe behind. MW2 was promoted mostly for 360 over the PS3 version during the press events. Every add or youtube video feature the 360 more than a PS3. The hype was clearly with the 360 edition. Heck! even the guy who did the Youtube video of the unboxing the prestige edition was using the 360. More than 2 million views could influence certain people.

As mentioned numbers from all the sales will come around later, but Amazon has a statistic of the number sold through their site here:
http://www.amazon.com/Call-of-Duty---Standard-Edition/meters/A1YNQOO2NMG7Q7/ref=pd_zg_lm_lp_pl
360 being 60% of all Modern Warfare 2 sold, PS3 32% and PC 8%.

Judging by my personal experience, the 360 will dominate in sales, probably with about twice as many copies of MW2 sold as the PS3.
Hey Lana do gamestop refurbished 360s get fixed by Microsoft? Looking for a purchase, but I don't want to risk it if they get repaired by random people.

Official Numbers for October
Uncharted 2 Leads NPD Pack in October
Sony wins big, and Borderlands picks up some serious loot.
November 12, 2009 - Uncharted 2 dominated the videogame sales charts for the month of October, selling more than half a million copies in just over two weeks to become the best-selling game of the month, according to data released today by the NPD Group, which tracks industry trends. But Uncharted's booming sales didn't translate into a month-over-month sales bump for the PlayStation 3, which sold 320,600 units in October, compared to 491,800 units in September. But Sony's system still managed to outpace Microsoft's Xbox 360, which moved 247,700 units in October, also down from last month's numbers (352,600 units).
The 360 may not have been able to keep pace with the PS3, Wii (506,900) and DS (457,600) in terms of hardware sales, but the majority of the month's software activity was on Microsoft's system.
"Across all categories, the Xbox 360 platform contributed the greatest portion of total industry sales, representing 27% of total industry sales for the month," said NPD analyst Anita Frazier. "The PS3 was a close second at 26%, an 8 point improvement over last October."
Sony's PSP handheld platform was also down to 174,000 units sold, compared to last month's 190,400 units. This despite the introduction of the new, slimmed-down PSPgo.
Here's a quick look at how the top 10 games performed in terms of rough unit sales for the month of October:
1. Uncharted 2 (PS3) – 537,000
2. Wii Fit Plus (Wii) – 441,000
3. Borderlands (360) – 418,000
4. Wii Sports Resort (Wii) – 314,000
5. NBA 2K10 (360) – 311,000
6. Halo 3: ODST (360) – 271,000
7. NBA 2K10 (PS3) – 213,000
8. Forza Motorsport 3 (360) – 175,000
9. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (DS) – 169,000
10. FIFA Soccer 10 (360) – 156,000Notably absent from NPD's top 10 list is Electronic Arts' and Double Fine's Brutal Legend, which was released Oct. 13 to broad critical acclaim. Speaking with IGN earlier this week, industry analysts predicted that the strategy/action game starring Jack Black could sell in the 300,000s. Although NPD did not release Brutal Legend's unit sales, it did not reach the 150,000's on either PS3 or Xbox 360.
In terms of new franchises, 2K and Gearbox's Borderlands made an extremely strong debut, selling 418,000 units on Xbox 360 alone (we're guessing largely on the force of developer Randy Pitchford's personality).
Microsoft's racing simulation game Forza 3 also had a solid first month, although not as strong as its predecessor, Forza 2. Whereas Forza 3 moved about 175,000 units in October, Forza 2 sold about 217,000 copies in its debut month of May 2007, according to archived IGN NPD data.
As a whole the videogame industry contracted in the month of October, continuing a trend that has largely mirrored the overall economy. However, according to NPD predictions, the industry is still on track to generate revenue of about $20-$21 billion in the U.S., down slightly from last year's sales of $21.3 billion.
"The continued economic turmoil, and in particular the troubling unemployment rate, is undoubtedly impacting industry sales. Our latest Economy Tracker indicated that although consumers' general opinion about the economy is improving, their outlook on their own personal situation is worsening," said Frazier. "If consumers' personal outlook continues to erode, they could very well be much more conservative with their holiday shopping this year."

Did Anita know about a little indie game known as MW2 when she said that? 🙄
