Jesus said that there would be many false prophets after him and after the apostles had past, no other prophets would come influenced by god.
Its best if people study before entering into any religion, it helps cutting out the fakes.

Christianity is so arrogant; they even claim other sub-sects of their religion to be false. Christianity was started by a human just like Mormons. Jesus was not divine.

I thought I'd respond to the polygamy talk....
Polygamy is strictly banned from amongst church members. It is in no way endorsed and in fact if they are found to have a polygamist relationship they are excommunicated. If a Latter-Day Saint practices polygamy they aren't really a true member.
There is a group that broke off of the church when polygamy was banned and they go by the "Reformed Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints" I believe. They do practice polygamy but they are NOT mormon. It is an entirely different church/religion.
Polygamy happens in Utah because some yahoo's are crazy. There is nothing the government can do unless they see eveidence of abuse. It's the same in other states. They're not legally married, it's just a bunch of nuts living together and claiming to be husband, and wives. And as for the marrrying of family, it's not a normal thing, I've never seen it happen. It's just as abnormal here as anywhere in the US. Neither of these things are anymore Mormon than Christian or Jewish.
And, baptism's more of a dicison for mormons if anything, because we're baptized at eight years, instead of eight days.

Yes, Christ did say there would be false prophets in these days, and I'll need a quote on the verse where he said no other prophets would be influenced by God. Becuase there are two problems with that.
First, if no one would be inspired, why was Saul inspired after Jesus left(his vision and call to preach), and why did he leave Peter as a leader if he wasn't going to be inspired to lead the people correctly.
Second, Jesus said there would be a falling away of the church before the second coming.
here: 2Thesslonians 2:3;
3: Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (the second coming) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
And he also said the gospel would be preached unto all the world. This could not happen after a falling away without an inspired prophet.
Revelation 14:16-17;
6: And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7: Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
All of these things and more point to the fact that God would not leave his children alone, with out inspiration. Christ himself said he would not leave us comfortless. Even, and especially today.

Apparently you take us all for dimwits. The whole joy of the Mormon religion for it's members is to study and learn about it. We are also encouraged to study other religions too so that we can make an informed decision...not a biased one.
