You know, we have this perfectly good "Tourney General Discussion" thread that would be an excellent forum for this ad-hoc inquest/flame-war/discussion. Perhaps these topics could live there instead of making it impossable to follow the actual battle.

absolutely! see the thing is long pig isn't about to cover 100 yards of distance going in a zig zag pattern to reach me faster than carnage projectiles shot at spidey from 20 feet away reached him.. that's just illogical.. and spiderman set up his web dome just fine in that occasion... It held, under attack from multiple weapons/opponents. long pig can try to slice hrough the webbing but that will still take time, adamantium coils are being talked up like adamntium claws here and that's not the same thing... it's like saying that a rope-dart has the same cutting efficiency as a knife that's obviously not true... I only need a few seconds to secure both forms of webbing to my body and then none of his offense matters.. (as if it did before now 🙄)... What needs to be realized here is that venom's already delt with elektro's powers and he was just fine.. I don't understand why that changes forthe purposes of this particular fight 😕

By appealing to the logic of the general public.. For one, scarlet spider has already knocked female ock OUT COLD when he got a little ticked.. his strength is MAYBE on par with sabretooth and DEFINITELY below that of venom with the two acting in tandem ONE PUNCH is all I need to render that shield ineffective... (just like when he made up a tournement "one hit kill" rule and no one questioned him).. I however have comics with female ock in them and I've seen what she can and can't do, her shield isn't anything he'd like it to be.. just like how electro doesn't even have a damned shield... but he argued that too... and I'm still waiting to see how he absorbs heat... cause he certainly didn't "absorb" that explosion in MK spidey no.3 🙄 . AND FINALLY for all the times people try to throw the rules in my face it's interesting when they don't think about how it applies to them. Energy shields were also decreased into having no more than the strength of titanium... I can pop that bubble or infiltrate it with ease and then it's a fist fight.. shocktopus isn't winning a fist fight.. that's for damned sure!

pretty much any way I want to... He's already said he's closing the gap in the field, and his boots are forward thrusting so range isn't really an issue here. If he wants to sit behind his shield and try and blast me, well I've pretty much already covered TONS of reasons why his shield isn't helping him here. 2. Taskmaster comes with energy shields. Taskmaster can do pretty much anything Spiderman can do with webs. As can Venom. It's like your knife analogy: You have a knife, (he has webs) you have intent to use the knife, (he wants to make a shield) you're in perfect condition to use a knife, (he's demonstrated plenty of skill with webs) so do you really need to have stabbed someone before to infer that you COULD stab someone? (does he really need to have amde a shield before when it's been done many a time, by someone who is basically his equal in skill?) Remember, saying no makes you a hypocrite. And the voting public HATES hypocrites.
3. Actually, since it's extremely feasible that he can make shields, he will have a good amount of time.
4. Proof? His webs are shown to be stronger than SM's, which in turn stand up to heat from Human Torch.
5. He has more weapons than you for range... This has been covered.
6. Magnetizing someone is telekinesis, by tournament definitions of the aforementioned telekinesis. Using this as a strategy is breaking the rules, and making you a hypocrite. Again.

9. Titanium<Adamantium, he has class 20ish strength. SS broke Lady Ock's shields...
