Hailing ships in space is a bit different, because the comms are designed for that sort of open transmission, and also because you can directly 'point', as it were, to the ship. Hand comms don't work like that- they basically work like mobile phones, and when I say 'frequency', that's just sci-fi for 'phone number'. This is not actually an insoluble problem, but it is an obstacle.
Ok, the ship is powering up! The freighters have already lifted off, raising high into the sky...

Ok, the convoys you are with are reaching their new destinations.
"Kyle rushed through his part of the preflight checklist as fast as he can, but he makes sure not to skip anything. Crashing would ruin the mission, after all. "Eerin, let's lift off as soon as possible, we're not waiting for the tower's OK. That should raise our value as pirates a little. Rhys, call the threat in to the freighters as soome as we're in range, we want to make then think about it as long as possible. The closer they get to making their jump, the bolder they'll be. Trouble is, we're not going to be able to return to the port after all this. If either of you object, now is the time."
The freighters are coming into sight/comm range now. They haven't cleared the atmosphere yet (your ship has somewhat more pep to it...)
Galahad/Sasha, your executive convoy has arrived at the bar where the Commissar is. Two stormtroopers have come out to meet you.
At the warehouses, the weapons are all unloaded!
(Hmm...we pull up in a speeder and are assailed by stormtroopers, seems familiar...Galahad will wave his hand and persuade them that they don't need to know our business...ha ha ha...)
"The Duchess and myself heard that the honorable Commissar Esgabath was perusing the town on his own, we thought he could use a bit of company," Galahad explains to the men in white.
