USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Rebel Alliance Thread

Actually, all you ultimately need to do is beat the TIEs to the atmosphere, where they lose their performance.

If the cargo gets there before the TIEs or SDs nab it, it is safe. Any creative way you can think of getting it in and it saves the need for a fight which would be highly incriminating at this time.

Hmm
Gimme a bit,
I'll have a plan...
Maybe.

Query: Since the others are planning on doing their little attack thing in the jungle, and they're bringing Osokans, would they be able to dip into the stash of personal weapons we brought for just such use? Might have everyone better armed, which makes for a better chance of success.

First of all, you don't have the weapons.

Secondly, I really don't see any that are any good to you.

Ok, let;s kick this back into touch.

First of all, solo attacks on Star Destroyers = dead player + immediate invasion of Lanzar.

Blockade running is about getitng past things, not blowing them up.

Time is running shoirt for you guys to have a set plan here.

Similarly, you hear an indication that Drakkon is not going to prove warriors to help you in an attack. His reasoning is that if one of his people is taken alive, it will be all too easy for it to be traced back tyo him. Drakkon also points out that being taken aliove is very likely for an Osokan. he has no objection to any of you making an attack, so long as you either get away or die trying.

Drakkon is such a nice guy. "You can do whatever you want, so long as you get away with it or die."

So our space mission consists of not really attacking anything, but simply making a more interesting target than the freighters?

Your mission is to get the cargo through.

So Ush means we need to decide what we're doing, not let him do it for us. 😗

Anyways. I think buzzing the Star Destroyers and TIEs would be fine. We don't have to shoot at them. Just piss them off and make a more interesting target to go after.

Naw,
that could be too dangerous.
We need them to get distracted and go somewhere else. so that the cargo ships have a clear vector.

Sounds good, but Chris's idea makes a good contingency plan. We need to keep the Deviator distracted, the other two Destroyers are elsewhere.

maybe we could fake a blockade run in another sector, get all the attention, at least long enough to allow the freighters a chance through?

(Yeah, that might be better. I think what Ush meant about attacking a SD=death was that an attack from one would be fatal. So drawing fire is not good. BUT if we could draw them AWAY from where the real shipment comes in, it might work. Blockade running, in real life and in Star Wars isn't usually about fighting, it's about stealth and deception.)

Actually, my line above might have been a subtle hint rather than an outright dismissal. Read it literally.

(Okay, I missed the Solo part. So we might have a chance grouped up. However, I still think it's better to create Kaliero's diversion. Or find a way to otherwise sneak the goods in. So, are we splitting up to take on this stuff at the same time, or are we going into the jungle after the blockade?)

I say after...

Agreed. We should put the second shipment as first priority.

(Cool, what's the plan? We going to try to distract them? Or is there some way we can sneak the shipment in.?)

About a day or two more and then we are progressing.

OK here's my idea.
The smugglers are going to attempt to run the blockade, kinda away from where the frieghters are.
I think you'd be a better target than the cargo ships, so they would go to try to intercept you guys. (we also might wanna leak that you are gonna try to escape. Just to make sure they are looking)
Now while your making your attempt (Which needs to fail by the way... We don't want you ACTUALLY leaving) I will go and help escort the frighters down. (I'm there so that if anything SNAFU's we can kinda improvise.

(Sounds good, as long as failing to run the blockade means returning to the planet to hide, rather than being caught or killed. Actually, that would be a way to go right into the jungle raid mission. Everyone who will be a part of that should ride in the smuggler's ships. We can't return directly to Lanzar City, so that means hiding in the jungle. We can just go after the Imps from there. Cool?)
