USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

You have the right to demand it; he has the right to refuse it. And accusing an Imperial Senator of interfering with a war is a very serious accusation that requires a lot of evidence.

"The plan seems sound," says Atar. "So long as the artillery is in good order."

"Do you think that artillery may be in danger? Drakkon got some guns, but even with few Rebel Terrorists around I hope they won`t be able to threaten our artillery if it is well protected.

I also have worries about the fighting in the city. Commander Travis, you said earlier that we would have to burn through everything. How do you think Stormtroopers should be organized, since General Coll didn`t give details on it yet?"

I assume that Coll and his two Senior Commanders can talk as well from Coll`s AT-AT?

Concerning Galahad, can I at least obtain direct communication with him? And I will send a message to Queen of Naboo as well, that I am concerned about Duchess Sasha, she didn`t leave Lanzar as I advised, and now her safety may be endangered among those ruthless savages. And she was seen in the company of dangerous individuals....It would be best for her is she left Lanzar at once, she is likely to be taken hostage any moment.

For direct communication you would have to contact the Guild Hall, and it's not taking transmissions.

Yes, Coll will link in by hologram.

"I have no specific intelligence on danger; I merely point out that they are the important part. We have no reserves of artillery, for example. Meanwhile, I shall report Travis' thoughts to you if they are relevant."

Can I send a message to Galahad? Do Nidar or Atar have any ideas for the battle? How detailed view of Lanzar can we have from the orbit, I assume very inaccurate wihtout sending probes.

I am still thinking about ways to gain some more Senate Symphathy. My idea of feiging concern for Galahad`s safety is not valid it seems. Though I still think that either he does something useful there, or no- and his very presence in Lanzar creates difficulty, because we don`t want to harm him. Perhaps he is doing something regarding those Stormtroopers we lost contact with and could be taken hostage etc... - but the Taskforce should still know of it.

I also know that last civil war was very bloody from conversations with Senators, and it was implied that Matadan is death( by this Osokan keeper in Hall of Records as well). My Aide discovered that Osokans have a habit of feeding people to raptors, but I am not sure if it was Matadan`s fate, though this is likely considering that he would have to endure extreme injuries to die in battle, considering Osokan regenerative qualities. So I am sure that Drakkon did some bad things, but without details it is not enough to impress the Senate, right? Can I molest the Senate Comission for this information? I don`t think that they will lie to me, even Andran is the lawful type.

Okay, it seems that I am focusing at too many things at once.

"Marshall Atar, how would you organize the troops in the city?"

It's worth noting that it is very hard to reduce Senate Sympathy; you normally fight to stop it increasing. Making use of Rebel cock-ups or your own devastating victories are your best way.

-

It's a bit late to 'molest' the Commission, as it were. Incidentally, your aide reported genuinely (she took time but got it right)- the Commission really does have no idea at all what happened to Matadan. Their conclusion he was one of the corpses in the fighting is not a cover up, it's their official position based on what they could find.

-

"You wish my opinion over General Coll's?"

"I wish the opinion of superior officer, Marshall Atar."- Commisar emphasizes Atar`s new rank.

Well, isn`t Atar expected to review plans Coll makes?. Commisar just wants the assault to suceed, and since Coll left some things vague he is going to ask questions.

Ush, how well are Atar and Nidar working together?

Any ideas of how prevent Drakkon from escaping the battle would be good. Your concern is valid, Lyle.

And Coll has lost Commisar`s favor after the incident with Vader. He shouldn`t have tried to blame him.

Sorry for absence, I kind of got absorbed into Battlefield 2142.

Well, Melkor, I would think you were the one who lost Coll's favor, since you pulled a gun on him, but as Ushgarak pointed out Coll did throw you in a "Time Bomb" 😮

And really Melkor, organization of troops into the city won't do much. I would rather worry about how we're going to position our troops into infiltrating the city. We need to send them in from positions that can give us an advantage and to take over points of the city that are easiest for the Osokans to defend.

Once inside I don't think the stormtroopers will do what their told and remain in ranks, once they will start fighting they will start dodging, running for cover, and such. We could've tried doing something which could shorten the enemy's morale, such as cause fear in them by showing them an example of our power before the main fight, but these are Osokans were talking about.

I wouldn't worry about Drakkon running away.

For one thing where is he going to go if he runs. Into the jungles of Lanzar to hide from the Imperials for Months. Even the Osakan's wouldn't last that long.

Second even if he did get into the jungle and lasted he doesn't exactly have anywhere to go now does he. We could slowly burn Lanzar down to the ground.

Finally the biggest reason I doubt Drakkon will run is because he is the guildmaster. Meaning he is the toughest Osokan. Meaning he is the leader of a species that above all else honors strength and courage on the hunt. If he would flee and not share in the fate of his fellow people he would be looked at as a coward and would loose all face with his people.

Yes, I think it is very important to keep our formations tight. I think that the gates should be destroyed by AT-AT, there we have your "demonstration", Jaiden.

In the city we would propably have to gain a foothold and proceed step by step. If we spread quickly we would be suddenly fighting through many ambushes.

Ush, am I still supposed to find evidence for Andran now that he is no longer directly involved with Lanzar? I understand that my main task was to resolve the Lanzar situation, Vader told me this stuff about Andran only because he was here. But it wouldn`t be bad idea to check if there is anything interesting in Imperial Databases concerning him.

Finally, Vader cannot just disappear like this! If he isn`t with Taskforce or ground army..... Can we trace his ship?

Forget about Andran.

(just awaiting the return of thr vacationing Californians)

By the way, I have posted extended background for Esgabath in character creation thread. Is it approved, Ush? I was afraid of contradicting some of your own ideas...

General Coll, when summoned, stands aboard the hologram transmitter platform at the back of the AT-AT's bridge. He watches the conversation between the Commissar and Marshall Atar, saying nothing, arms folded in front of him.

"I do not mind, Marshall," Coll says, his voice flat, "if you have anything to add to my plan."

"I see no reason to deviate from standard tactics," says Atar. "We'll clear the city building by building."

"So standard tactics should be enough to defeat resistance in our timetable?" -Commisar walks around the room, annoyed that he is ignorant in regards to ground warfare.

"I am confident that you and General Coll are doing everything to ensure our decisive victory according to Emperor`s will." He speaks firmly, like it was a statement of fact. Than he turns towards General Coll.

"While I am sure that Marshall Atar will carefully review your battle plans, executing the assault is your responsibility, General Coll, and I am sure that Lord Vader will consider your achievements. I hope that our heavy equipment is secured during the jungle march? We don`t know whether Rebels will try another sabotage, though I would hope that you had better luck than General Lomax....." -Commisar grins in a nasty way.

"By the way, since I mentioned Vader.... it seems that he left Taskforce, but I don`t understand where he could be. Commodore Nidar, can we trace his ship?"

"He's on the surface. General Coll knows where."

Janthis stands next to Coll over hearing the conversations taking place.

Incidentally, we're down to 20 hours and counting now so you don't have that long for convos such as these.

"Lord Vader is in the jungle with the TIE fighters he has...borrowed," General Coll says. "Now if you'll excuse me, gentlemen, I have an Army to attend to. Contact me if you feel that I need to know something important."

Coll cuts contact and turns to Lieutenant Bast.

"Are the artillery units ready? And have all troopers been equipped with grappling hooks?"
