USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

Yup, everything is fully equipped and ready.

"Excellent. Only a matter of time..."

Ush, isn`t it a bit insulting that Coll cuts contact while Commisar and Marshall didn`t finish talking to him?

Commisar, annoyed that he was ignored, turns to Agent Lyle.

"Agent Lyle, I remember that you have been working with General Coll before. Do you think that you could be useful with anything, since unfortunately General left us before I could ask him? If not, do you have any ideas how to ensure that Drakkon is captured during the battle? And you as well, Rylis and Arvus."

Ush, can Galahad`s homeworld put me in direct communication with him, through his ship perhaps? If not, they should inform him that the full-scale assault is to begin in under 20 hours. Since he doesn`t stay in contact with Taskforce, I cannot quarantee his safety.

It seems that Vader is busy and may be annoyed that I want to talk to him?

Yes it was...

As ever with Vader you take your chances. it had better be on an important matter.

There is a message for you from Thespion, actually.

The content being?

"Sir, I think that I would be more a hindrance than a help on the surface. Battlefield tactics are not my area of expertise. I cannot think of a way for us to take Drakkon now, especially as we are not aware of his location. Better to wait for a sighting of a heavily armed group of Osokans - I expect Drakkon and his entourage are more than capable of holding off a detachment of stormtroopers - and divert more forces to put him out of action.

"Any battle situation will likely be resolved between our discovering of his location and the three of s landing to implement any hastily-made plan. Leave it to the Army, sir, is my advice."

(Basically, no, no, and we probably don't have time to spare.)

"It sounds reasonable- I trust that you will stay in touch with General Coll then, and be ready to land when the shield is off, in case you are needed after all.

Another thing is the matter of Rebel Terrorists- do you think that they can cause any significant trouble? I think that they may be interested in convincing Drakkon to escape."

Edit- If Lyle, Rylis and Arvus do nothing, Commisar will be very unimpressed.

Commisar stares at Rylis and Arvus as they seem hesitant to respond to him.

"I see hesitation. So you are no longer so willing to test your "hunting" skills against those of Guildmaster? Think about it, if you contribute to his capture or to the capture of Rebel Terrorists payment you currenlty receive shall be at least doubled, perhaps tripled or quadropled depending on the results. It may be enough for you to retire and live a life of conforts." - He speaks and heads towards the door, unless it seems that Commodore or Atar want something from him.

"Of course, I hope you understand the extent of Empire`s grace in pardoning your previous crimes....I would hate to think that your service is lacking, since it would question the necessity of such extraordinary measures...."- He turns back as he reaches the door and smiles darkly towards Rylis and Arvus before leaving.

"Are there any messages to me, from Coruscant, Thespion, Naboo or elsewhere?"- He asks Sareitha upon returning to his chambers.

(um, I'm not going to reply if I have nothing to reply with at the moment, and I've only just finally been able to try and start working out with Zink what we should do and most importantly how we're going to get there, so just be patient 😛)

Okay, Commisar isn`t terribly interested in talking, he wants you to do something. I ended the conversation because Ush said that we lack time, so I want to do as much as possible.

At least I am a bit more subtle than Vader, so you shouldn`t complain.... 😉

Well, right now we're just trying to decide if we want to go in with the troops or land during the battle and make our way through the confusion. Personally I'd prefer going in during the battle itself, but the main issue would be where we would land whatever ship we take. Landing in the city wouldn't really be an option unless 1) the anti-aircraft defenses were taken out and 2) if we were able to land on top of the Guild Hall, because I would think that leaving our ships in the starport in the middle of a battle would be a good way to guarantee that we can't get off planet. The other option would be to land outside of the city, but of course that then leaves the issue of finding somewhere we CAN land that's close enough where we don't need to worry about the wildlife too much, and then of course getting back out of the city to the ship.

So right now it's sort of us trying to decide which situation will screw up for us the least.

I think that the anti-air defences are only in the Guild Hall area, so after shield is off, it shouldn`t be difficult for small ship to land.

Have you considered joining with Coll`s forces? There should be some small clearing or place for you to land on his route. We needed to deploy forces in the very large clearing so far from the city because we had to deploy a huge army. Three people shouldn`t be as constrained.

Ush, I need some solid evidence to reduce Symphathy due to Osokan atrocities? I know that the last war was very bloody and heard rumors that they give people to raptors, but this is likely not enough.... it isn`t like the Imperial propaganda is silent that Osokans are bunch of bloodshirty savages. What about the fact that our troops in the city were lynched? We still have no way to be sure if they are all dead or Drakkon suddenly decided to take hostages?

Message from Thespion- accepting the risk involved, the esteemed Senator Galahad has voltunteered to stay behind to analyse the apparent collapse of the Senatorial settlement. So your concern is appreciated, but not needed;- enough of his staff have remained behind as needed to protect him.

-

Bit late for all that now, Melkor.

16 hours.

Still, I would like Thespion to inform him that in around 16 hours Imperial Military will perform a full-scale assault on the city. Since he doesn`t stay in contact with Taskforce, I cannot do anything to quarantee his safety during the assault, which will be conducted with heavy equipment. I would really like him to contact me. I am interested if he knows anything about those soldiers that we lost contact with in the city. I also want to know if Duchess Sasha is still on Lanzar, since I think that she could have stayed there because of Galahad.

Naboo wouldn`t respond concerning my worries about Sasha? They propably not like me, bastards....

My position in Taskforce is strong right now?

It was a message, not a two-way communication; that seems to be the end of the matter from them.

Nah, no response from Naboo yet.

Well, depends what you mean.

So I send a message back. They didn`t give me communication codes for him or his ship as I wanted?

Well, so far the biggest sucesses are political, and this area is my main responsibility. With military issues others can take the blame. What is the current attitude of Nidar and Atar towards me? Actually, if Nidar has time to eat a short meal with me and my Aide, it would be good. If not, I want to speak with him privately.

No, they just leave you to go through normal channels.

You'll have to judge their attitudes yourself. And you can have private time with him.

And normal channels mean Guild Hall? Cannot I contact him through the Senate?

"So Commodore, are you satisfied with how this Mission is being conducted so far? We had certain disagreements, but surely you understand that as political officer I have a diffrent view on certain matters." -He speaks as they drink the finest red wine.

"And I must say that I am VERY satisfied in how you conducted the blockade, especially when we had difficulties with such a large amount of newcomers leaving....( I assume that I know that he is giving me money from the Blockade bribes, of course). As Marshall Atar has been already promoted, I wouldn`t be surprised if you make it to Admiral soon, to be frank."

Melkor, I think you should let Coll hold the invasion. He knows what he's doing. And about the whole thing about penetrating the Guild Hall, if you want it to be effictevely done then Jaiden needs to meet up with Rylis, Arvus and Lyle. Jaiden is taking down the Guild Hall, and he could cause a distraction to give the agents a good chance to get into the Guild Hall.

Personally, I want Janthis and Jaiden to be leading the charge to the Guild Hall.
