"Cannot our ships make them unable to retreat?"

"Of course not! They're covering us."

"Order them to attack the Rebels then! Between our Star Destroyers and Ulrand`s skills we will destroy them!"

"They can run from our Star Destroyers all day. If we attack them with the fighters alone, there is the risk they will emerge victorious."

So, we land in the jungle, we're goners?

No, that's not necessarily true because you are both very dangerous people. I'm simply pointing out that it is not safe there.

Why don't we just land behind the troops then commandeer some transport to catch up with Coll?

"Than how about we order our fighters not to engage them before they attack the Star Destroyers? We can destroy them then."

"As I say," says Nidar, "the Rebels will simply not attack."

"So what do you think they will do now, attack the ground army as well? It seems that we have understimated them from the beginning." -Commisar is furious inside.

Edit- "And you advise against ordering Ulrand to engage them, at last temporary. Marshall Atar, how much time till artillery is under the shield?"

"Minutes, Commissar," says Atar.

And indeed, the Imperial army is about to clear the jungle.

"I imagine that is their intention," says Nidar.

Janthis walking with his troops he can begin to see the end of the jungle.

"Then if we order Ulrand to engage them, Army will safely reach the shield? What do you think of this situation, Marshall?"

Nidar cuts in.

"No! They'll destroy the TIEs and then attack us! Those TIEs must never stop covering our ships again."

Perhaps it would be a good idea to call Vader

Better to make him mad about giving up a few squadrans then have to explain to him why we lost artillary.

Atar doesn`t seem to care much? Actually, even if they original plan was to attack the Army, they can indeed threaten our Star Destroyers if there are Ties? So this is a no-win situation?

The Star Destroyers are a MUCH better target than the artillery. They are simply forcing your hand. There's no point worrying about playing into their hands if they haven't actually left you an alternative- it's just a good move by them.

"Okay, Commodore, than Ulrand has to cover our ships, I see that we have no other options. "

What about having Coll call Vader for help?

Well, it is up to him.
