USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

Ah. Would I be able to find which supplies the generator?

My plan is sort of going like this - if we take out the power station, there'll be a short gap while they switch to back-up or another power supply, and if the destroyers can take out the generators in that gap, then it shouldn't be too hard to land in the city. What other anti-air defences do they have, if any?

So in other words, my idea of sticking my gun in his face would be a good one? 😄

The power stations would simply supply a power grid that the generator draws from.

And I would say yes, Lana.

Could we increase the power surge to the level it would overload the grid?

Where is the generator controlled from?

You'd have to get control of the whole power grid. You doubt it is practical.

And you don't know. It certainly CAN be controlled from the generator itself.

"Okay, you've just about stretched my patience to it's end." Rylis says, leaning over the table towards him and drawing her blaster (btw, I decided she carries a heavy blaster). "Now, I am very tired of asking for your cooperation. Are you going to tell us what we ask, or are you going to force me to use this? Because believe me, I have no qualms whatsoever in doing so."

"Pardon my ignorance Commadore but what sittuation exactly I am most sure I can handle whatever it be." he says looking to Nidr ready to full fill his duties to teh Republic.

Arvus walks around behind the fellow, showing him his dart launcher with a sneer.

Captain Trebeis silently twiddles his thumbs.

I think you might be better off thinking 'The Empire' there, Narrik...

"Very well," says Nidar. "Three Imperator Class Star Destroyers," he says, using the official name for the ships rather than the more colloquial 'Imperial' class, "are more than enough match for any opposition we might encounter. In fact, just one would be. But they cannot be everywhere at once. A planet is a large object, of course. If we are to blockade this world, and stop any rebel scum or atavistic primitives from escaping, a full blockade will only be possible with full fighter support. I want you to be in charge of preparing and deploying the fighters for that operation."

---

"Now, there's no need to get like that..." says the guy.

---

Trebeis, did you ever define your Merits? As a Captain, you are meant to be quite a well rounded character, and you can play the poltiical game during this time.

"Really now?" Arvus says, putting a hand on the man's shoulder and leaning down to him. "Then you'll tell us what we need to know, right? Otherwise, we think there is a need."

"I do not have patience for difficult people. Tell us the info we asked for...or you will find out very quickly exactly how little patience I have." Rylis says.

(and yeah, Barb finished up and fixed his character sheet, it's in one of the last few pages of the character creation thread)

Words words words... geez, did you guys learn bullying at wuss school?

OOC: Really Ush? Do you have any suggestions?

Alana, have you contemplated simply Pistol Whipping him in the face and dragging him out of the damn place for a more proper interrogation?

Suddenly, Arvus grabs the man around the neck and drags him from his chair.

"Don't want to make a mess in front of the customers..." Arvus snarls, the dart launcher pressed against the man's neck as he pulls him outside.

I'll just see what Lana adds.

Well, you have an Ally, who can be your first officer, Trebeis- feel free to ask himt o do some stuff, and if there is any area you are uncertain of, you could always ask youe Senatorial contact.

Melkor, your adjutant has come back to you since the most recent incident.

"I checked the logs," she says. "The message that Nidar says warned of Rebel activity came from Imperial Command, and so it was properly addressed to the Commdore rather than yourself. But he says the source is from the Imperial Palace, which means they informed Imperial Command and Command in turn informed Nidar.

"It's highly unlikely that the Palace did not also inform the Commissariat... which means the question is why they in turn did not tell you. Maybe they thought you would hear anyway?"

Excellant.

"Rhodes?" The Captain called out, looking around the Bridge. Seeing a man stand from a Console, he said "Leiutenant Commander, I would like you to go about the ship. What General Coll has said is undoubtedly true. You are to make your way around the ship. Check on the general feeling of the men. Report your findings immediately."

Ush, Trebeis would like to conact his Contact, and inquire about the general feeling towards the mission. And wether or not the Senate would come down upon himself, and the other senior officers if Nidar was to make a costly mistake.

~damn my brain was out to lunch yeh Empir elol~
"I would be honored Commadore." he said bowing slightly. "When do I depart?"

"No, of course not..." Rylis says, following Arvus out, her blaster still drawn. Once outside, she pushes the man against the wall and holds her blaster under his chin. "Now, I hope you are not very fond of your head, as you are about to lose it."

(man, I wish I had a lightsaber.....😛)

"Whoa whoa whoa! Ok, ok, cut it out and I'll talk!" says the guy.

-

"Whilst we are in transit, I only wish you to plan your side of the operation," says Nidar. "Once we arrive at Lanzar, prepare for deployment orders as soon as the blockade begins."

-

Ok, Trebeis, you get a message back from your contact.

The Senate is moody over this one. Regardless of what each Senator feels the best way to deal with the Osokans is, they do not like the idea that a genuine Senatorial mission could be overridden at the whim of the Emperor. It's always been possible, of course, as the Emperor has limitless power, but it has rarely happene this directly. The loyal Senators (to the Empire) will grumble but likely be bought off, the one who do not like the Emperor will simply be more vocal than before, but it's all the middling ones, the undecided ones, the swing voters... those are the ones he thinks you should be worried about alienating.

"You have to make it look like you HAD to go," he advises. "And I don't mean fake it. You have enough enemies that faking it will just delay the problem until exposed. You have to make sure there is a real reason. And if you ask me... that Commissar will make sure that one of the military will be first in the firing line if that goes wrong, because he's under pressure from the Emperor for things to go smoothly. My advice- don't piss off the Commodore. He'll offer up the guy he hates the most to the Commissar. Or more likely, deliberately put him in a position where he might be blamed for errors."

This isn't a live message, so the transmission terminates there, as you look uneasily at the deployment orders Nidar gave you earlier.
