Oh FFS. LOOK YOU LITTLE ********** STOP TAKING EVERY FECKING THING I SAY AND COMMENTING ON IT LIKE YOU ARE THE FECKING MASTER. YOU HAVE ZERO IDEA OF WHAT IT TAKES TO TEACH. I PUT UP WITH LITTLE SNOT NOSED SHIETS LIKE YOURSELF FOR 20 YEARS AND I WAS DAMN PROFICIENT AT IT!! NOW GO PLAY IN THE STREET OR SOMETHING. YOU POSSES AN ENORMOUS EGO WHICH IS HIGHLY OVERINFLATED, AND YOU SERIOUSLY LACK COMMON SENSE WHEN IT COMES TO DEALING WITH DISCUSSING THINGS WITH OTHER PEOPLE WITHOUT COMING OFF AS SOUNDING LIKE SOME CONDESCENDING SCHUMCK!

Happy now? You've been begging for this type of answer from me all day and you got it. Congratulations. Oh and welcome to ignore. ........ damnit man..........

I actually knew you'd reply, but no I'm not.

Secondly, I know she never implied a lack of necessity for grammar whilst teaching. She said "When it's absolutely necessary". I was curious as to when it's NOT, and why. Chill out.

im quite chill, but thanks for the concern.

what i said was simply that just because one teaches, it doesnt obligate them to use perfect spelling and grammar outside of teaching. for example when she posts here at KMC.

nowhere did she imply that the necessity for good grammar doesnt apply to teaching. you were the one who made the connection between the 'necessity' and the job of teaching ✅

It was very well done, I must say. The red was a nice touch as well.

Thanks, but I had to go back and edit becuase I missed the "A" key in teach. So not perfect.

LOL

And LMAO Bardock, the word I was actually thinking would have gotten me banned.

If a kid comes to you with a correct spelling and you tell him he's wrong, you shouldn't be teaching.

Hahahahaha, whoaaaa. Oh I'm hurt. Handbags at dawn I see.

Zero idea of what it takes to teach? I'm assuming the ability to avoid grading papers incorrectly, feel free to call me up on that if I'm wrong. I do love it when people snap, is fun-mourous 🙂. Don't mouth off about how good at something you are when, by your own admission, your brain hurts from replying to me. Hey, you're the one who dubbed me Mr. Perfect though, so uh...thanks!

I never connected the teaching to her use of grammar on KMC, you made a mistake in assuming I did. I asked when correct grammar wasn't necessary. Then independently said that if you grade wrong, you shouldn't grade.

The two parts were in the same post, you connected them. Here, let's take a look:

"When is being correct with grammar not "necessary"? Granted there are times when it matters more, but when is it not "necessary"?

If you grade papers wrong you shouldn't be grading papers.

-AC"

You attached the last line to the previous two. Not me, you.

Can't say I'd be too thrilled if my child got less marks than he/she should have because his teacher can't grade properly, no.

I think minor mistakes are made in schools all the time, just like every other job. Problem with Education and schools in particular is everyone thinks they know what teaching is, because they went to school. They don't.

That's what kills off the laziness argument usually. I'm sure it must take a while to convert normal speech or thought into that kind of crap.
I tend to get obsessive, at first when I learned to type (which was just last year) I was at 55 words a minute... I'm faster now, but I'd rather be accurate than fast.

I got on the forum and typed without correcting because some of my starting posts were so damned long, but then people either. 1. Complained about the mispellings to dodge a point. or 2. Refused to read it.

So now I'm back to my old self... 😊

I never said mistakes aren't made. I said that they shouldn't be made when grading. SHOULDN'T, not DON'T. You are a TEACHer. So if you TEACH what you are getting wrong on your own, that means your entire class are getting it wrong.

i dont know AC, she only admitted to having made errors.
you turn around and spit it in her face and attack her, degenerating this thread into a personal ego battle.
why? "ZOMG I HAVE AMMO!!!!!"

Indeed Whirly, and I always gave the kids credit once I realised my mistake, which the kids were more than eager to point out. As they should have been. ✅

Also meant they were learning. 😉

I'm not the one who just decided to go on a red-text rampage of insults am I? No, I said you shouldn't grade if you grade with mistakes. She's pissed because today we've happened to interract a lot and she's been on the short end.

Then again, I'm not even gonna bother discussing JP with you for obvious reasons. The fact that you are implying I'm responsible for turning this thread into anything after what she just did IS laughable though.

Still, that grammar eh?

That of course is another advantage, sincwe the students look for mistakes the teacher might have made the chance that something goes by unnoticed is rather slim. But generally to be in a teaching position óne should be good enough not to make mistakes to often (I am not saying that JP does, I am sure she was a good teacher. Just generally. Mistakes happen of course. No one is perfect. Except for Batman.)

I lecture now but I have taught 11 to 18 in the past. I did pastoral work for that age as well and its hard work. I even did a term on supply in a primary school when I first got a PGCE - those guys get no "frees" and have to teach everything and be mum or dad. I respect all teachers, I could not have done it for life, it's to much hard work

Oh yeah they had a field day when I screwed something up. 😂 Thankfully it wasnt often. 🙂

im just saying that you get quite sensative with regards to personal attacks. but you have no problem dishing it. and you've been dishing long before her rant.

and please, dont go the way of whob and give me the 'group think' copout.

Nice quote there PVS. "Red texted rampage of insults" 😆 People that know me know that was tame compared to what I could have said. Ignore him PVS, much less hot air floating around in here if you do. ✅

I didn't personally attack her though. It was her who said it so it was her who I replied to. What would you have me do? Reply to Bardock about it? He didn't say it. She did. If he said "I grade wrong sometimes" I'd have said it to him. He didn't, she did. I asked a question and made a statement. Don't call me sensitive Mr. Everything is an underlying diss.

I've been dishing fair. I'm curious as to why her piece above hasn't garnered any ill judgement of you. No I'm not going by group think, I'm going by something else.

Also, JP: Either reply to me or don't address me. Goodie 🙂. "Nothing to what I could have said". Oooooh! Boots are a-knockin'.
