Superman:

_______________________________

I enjoyed this little arc a lot. It was basically "Multiversity 1.5".

Red Racer's feat was absolutely unreal, btw. The guy used his speed to compress time to the point where he built an entire receiver for the Ultima Thule(ie. MONITOR-tech)...from scratch...in the space of like 2 pages. It's hard to even grasp a feat of that magnitude. :/

👆 Craziest feat this week.

Really, Zack?

From the looks of things, Midnighter was channelling Asmodel, the Bull Angel, against Neron.

Midnighter was fantastic, too. 👆

And Superman powered up all the supermen with his power of hope?

What am I suppose to be reading?

So you're saying if the President and other Supermen didn't show up, Superman hope would've given everyone their powers? Why didn't that happen beforehand?

The madder Hope gets, the stronger it gets. Incredible Hope Shun!

Lol...Superman hope is kindness. Anger would do the opposite.

Worth noting is that it took Uotan a thousands years to build one, and he was an actual Monitor with ridiculous tech at his disposal.

Worth noting as well, in JL, that Superman fully believes that Batman can stop him 😈

Superman BTFOs WW and all the other Earth heroes saying he's at ease knowing Batman's there to hold him back.

That's just useless pandering to everything that wears a Bat on there chest. A evil, no holding back Superman would kill Bruce before Bruce can even say I.

When Authors writes crap like this, it turns me off toward characters like Batman.

^That's the one thing I prefer about anime. The more realistic depictions of power gaps.

If your opponent has double your stats, you are usually ****ed without an 11th hour power-boost or some plot shenanigans.

In comics however, you can be billions/trillions/etc of times weaker and slower than your opponent but because you are that much weaker, you will often have an advantage in a comic fight because of a stupid underdog compensation/mary sue street leveler plot armor.

That one comic where Flash had trouble hitting some robot dogs and Batman comes up and just punches one no problem by saying "You just have to hit them square!" was some of the dumbest, most non-sensical writing ever. Up there with the lasso of truth 'mansplaining' moment. 😂

This is only true to some degree.

Take DBZ for example.

Having 1/10th higher power level than someone means you can move faster than they can perceive/completely ignore their attacks and so on.

There are exceptions to that in DBZ.

Frieza was only like 80% as powerful as SSJ Goku yet still gave him one hell of a fight for 5 minutes.

Goku held back though.

Piccolo fused with Nail was only roughly 80% as strong as Second form Frieza, yet still gave a good fight also.

Remind you of anyone?

Why the comics are bending over backwards for a specific group of people who aren't even buying them and who are universally just the worst is beyond me.

That's in response to phil's post.
