He just wants to annoy carver some more.

Dude, what if Banner Hulk were resurrected and merged with Chuk, Rulk, Shulk, and Rshulk?

blowup

He'd become capable of eating the entire Krypton planet in a single panel.

Im sure carver is on somebodies ledge right now hulking out. Saints just trying to give that extra push

Cogito is right though. You really cant have a character at that implied level of power running around with Leaguers. DC will neuter him eventually. It is pretty cool though

Superman needs to stay away from the JL.

He should only ever team up with Barry, Wally or Hal, Kyle or John Stewart. People that wont drag him down.

that sounds amazing tbh.

Wandering the universe? Lol.

Last thing worthy of mention Surfer did was going to Murdock's office. We all know how it ended.

So much Superman hate. Must hurt, tbh. 😉

No it does not. In order for his appeal to sell he has to remain grounded. That aloof alien god pastiche doesnt work for him

Depends on your interpretation of "best".

Superman has had several fantastic arcs in the DCnU, and the recent 'Superman Reborn' arc was certainly no exception. The dialogue with Mxy, and even the merger itself, was handled very well, imo... Great stuff. 👆

That said, I honestly hope they don't go overboard with Superman now that he's merged. I would be totally fine with his feats saying consistent with how they've been thus far. However, I would imagine once the whole Watchmen affair is all wrapped up, he will have accumulated some...beastly feats, to say the least. Remember, even Mr. Oz was shocked by Superman's status/importance within the DCU -- Supes did things that not even Oz thought possible. Knowing Superman, that's likely just a taste of things to come... ermmhappy

I bet you it will be forgotten by most writers and he'll stay consistently with what he's done in the past.

Not 'forgotten', per se. I would imagine most writers simply won't know how to handle his merger, thus will keep him consistent out of habit or whathaveyou... Though like I said: Supes WILL accumulate some gargantuan feats when the Watchmen/Rebirth event is all said and done. Mark.My.Words. 👆

Well, you can count Dan Jurgens out as far as feats goes, because he's not into that at all, and he's flat-out said it. As far as in-Universe standing goes, though - i.e. relative combat performances he is very consistent. So Superman will be the top dog, give or take in terms of gaps, but with no space-cheese or the like. The jury's out on Peter Tomasi, he seems to be more preoccupied with Jon's story than Superman's.

Expect Johns to have Superman punch Manhattan's blue off in a splash page for the big event, though.

edit.

I love the casualness of Superman throwing a ship from the Earth to the moon, as he's having a chat with Supergirl.

Kryptonians, man.
