Superman has had several fantastic arcs in the DCnU, and the recent 'Superman Reborn' arc was certainly no exception. The dialogue with Mxy, and even the merger itself, was handled very well, imo... Great stuff. 👆

That said, I honestly hope they don't go overboard with Superman now that he's merged. I would be totally fine with his feats saying consistent with how they've been thus far. However, I would imagine once the whole Watchmen affair is all wrapped up, he will have accumulated some...beastly feats, to say the least. Remember, even Mr. Oz was shocked by Superman's status/importance within the DCU -- Supes did things that not even Oz thought possible. Knowing Superman, that's likely just a taste of things to come... ermmhappy

I agree. Good post

all have very very powerful superman and are far from grounded

Not going to address every arc youve mentioned but i will point out that All Star was a grounded arc. The main focus was not his super soaked sun charged cells. It was his mortality.

Superman has beastly feats, nuSupes (~50% power) had beastly feats, but let's not get carried away acting like the new complete Superman is going to be written at any higher level than before.

For every multiversal feat he's going to get knocked the fuck out by a gas station. That's always been the case and always will.

Just sayin'

That's what I feel. If he has consistently higher showings from now on, I will be surprised.

Your a big supes fan saint?

Won't say a big fan, I enjoy reading the comics.

Then again, I read quite a few from both sides.

Define that.

@Philo...

That's not an amazing ft. Hulk punched a ship that was towering continents across space. Anyways, he wasn't at half power, nothing dictates this but he was weakened per the scan. Also, I debunked Superman ft of stopping Brainiac ship.

@Galan...

Mr. Oz was shocked that LOVE assisted Superman and Lois in the merge. That wasn't a power ft.

why dont you stop worrying about superman and post that hulk turning an abstract into dust feat you were bragging about, and no, you didnt debunk anything

You want him to be Surfer now? Too op for earth so hes out wandering the universe?

No?

I said I would rather have Superman work alone rather than in teams.

Team ups are terrible for true power houses, because american comics like power levels to be diverse and spread out in team ups, even though that makes no ****ing sense.

And Surfer is no more OP than Thor, who is on Earth all the time. Surfer is out in space all the time because that's what his character created for.

I just mean that while benching the planet is obviously above the level of strength feat anyone else in his category can achieve, every time he gets punched a block away by Aquaman his average will feel less impressive. He'd have better acceptance if he treated his peers like non factors moreso than accumulating the plethora of strength feats he has. Otherwise everytime he does something impressive, someone will undoubtedly bring up a showing where he's not as impressive against people in his category.

Think of Thanos before Marvel put him in the average readers spotlight. He essentially treated Marvel's top heralds, Thor and Surfer, as non factors. And that was standard. Now he's getting visibly hurt and rocked by metas like Thing or low heralds like Namor. And its lowering his average.

I didn't say it was, lol. I specifically said "status/importance". 🙂

My friend, Damborgson, may this tiny offering extend your damaged life-force another couple of years.

Thank you Cosmic. A little breath of fresh air in this sea of sorrow.

If you scratch everything Bendis did from the record, thanos' average looks much better.

AS much as I want to see Carver get thrashed, you guys should probably get back on topic and show some actual ownage.

I've watched the dang trailer dozens of times. Not because it's a Thor film, but because she's lookin really MILFY. *shrug*

That trailer really hit with maximum impact...read a report that said its the most viewed trailer not just in the mcu's history, but Disney history altogether. In less than a week.

edit, scratch that...in just its first 24 hours.
