I'm a Colossus fan, and I hate this change. Even if that makes me the minority somehow, i still don't care.
I don't think you're in the minority. My opinion is the fans that like it, like it because it brings new attention to the character from the writers. But from what I've seen on other threads, there are pleanty of people that don't like the change. But there is alot of different reasons for that.

I don't get the want of it to stay? Does Colossus really need to be unstoppable? Him being a lesser brick (but still powerful) that was a major threat through effort, training, skill and team work was better imo.
I would have to go pretty far back to see the version of Colossus you just mentioned. I don't disagree with you, but he's been written so inconsistently by writers that I think it's good that Gillen is going to try to define him in a different way.
Originally posted by Rage.Of.OlympusI have a feeling regular Colossus is going to have a buttload of bad showings so these new powers can come into plan.
At some point, this power up is going to disappear one way or another. Hopefully Colossus' regular power set wont get too many bad showings by then just so that the Juggernaut side can come out and kick *ss.If Colossus needed a power up, a secondary mutation would have been enough.

I believe his secondary mutation came when he was severely injured. Magneto healed him. In the process he gained size and strength. I don't know if that really counts as a mutation, but to my knowledge, that was his only power up prior to becoming the Juggernaut.

Gillen won't be the x-men writer permanently, so i doubt he has much say what happens after he's off the book.
That's true. Nothing is forever. Plenty of characters have gained, lost, and gained their powers over the years. Will Colossus be Juggernaut forever? Maybe, but probably not. Will he lose the power completely? Only time will tell. But for now, enjoy the Unstoppable Colossunaut.

I can't see him keeping the enchantment permanently. I mean, Cain is the Juggernaut. It's like Bruce Wayne not being Batman for a while. Sure, you get some time where he isn't Batman, but in the end he always puts on the cowl again.
At least that's how I see it.
I'm also worried like people said, about his standard powers getting made to look bad.

Not really. Kieron gillen said it was permanent
Whether it's a year or 10 from now, those powers will disappear sooner or later. If for no reason other than most people like and recognize Cain Marko as the Juggernaut.
Also, link?

Didn't know that. What was it?
