Issue #106:

In the previous issue, a guy videotaped Spawn saving those people from the planecrash. He wanted to sell the tape to a station. But a guy found him and shot him in the head. During this issue, Spawn traces this back to the source of it. The guy that shot the man who videotaped him + information from other places about who sent the new overt-kill. He wants to know who?s f*cking with him.

He finds out who it was. It was Wynn. Spawn decides to not hurt him physically, but rather leave him with a ?present?. Check out this incredible showing of telepathy. (remember the mental scars he leaves him with aka the illusion complete with pain and such remain for a long long time. Not just temporary)

Issue #107:

This is the first issue of a story-arc that last till Issue #113 called ?The Kingdom?. It?s about vampires. But I won?t spoil it all here. Instead, I?ll add explanations and details as we go along 😉

Spawn pays Ab and Zab a little visit. They try to get away from him, but he slams the door shut with Telekinesis (Yes, he has Telekinesis as well during the Second Age).

Spawn is confronted by dozens of vampires + Simon Pure himself. This fight shows his versatility.

His cloak expands immensely capturing within it all the vampires. His chains grab all of them (bet you thought he can only grab a couple 😉 ) and then he channels his power through the chains like lightning, making the vampires go ?pop?

Description of how powerful the vampires are. (PS: Wolfram isn?t talking about the vampires Spawn just killed. They?re all dead. He?s talking about the heavenly protection and the ones that are still out there. You see, there were more than 800 vampires in there, and only a few dozen fought Spawn).

Spawn?s plan is for Ab and Zab to open a portal to Hell right inside the vampire fortress. The conflicting energies of Heaven and Hell would destroy the heavenly protection and with it their lair (unfortunately the vampires won?t be inside during this time 🙁 )

When the vampires undergo the ritual to become warriors, they remove their eyes. The heavenly power inside them still allows them to see perfectly, and not only that, but also to see who are sinners. Everybody who?s a sinner has an S on their foreheads. This is going to be important during the final battle.

This is the last issue of the The Kingdom story arc.
While Spawn was busy fighting the 777 vampires, Ab and Zab got into the citadel of The Kingdom and started working on the gate to Hell.

Issue #114:

Ben Nakadai is an American with a Japanese heritage. He travels to Japan on behalf of the company he works for as a ?token Japanese?. They have to evaluate if a temple they found in a forest can be brought down or if it has any value. Ben meets Mammon in the form of a Japanese man. He tells him the story of one of his ancestors (ben?s).

Lord Nakadai will appear in the next issue fighting Spawn. He?s an incredible warrior. As for the story, it?s not the story. It?s actually the past. The whole ?face your demons? thing isn?t that. Nakadai had actually fought a dragon. Spawn is drawn to Japan, sensing through his empathy something big?s going to happen.

Ben finds a box in the temple ruins. A very important box (we?ll see that in issue 120).

Meanwhile, Mammon kills Ben Nakadai and steals the box from his possession.

Now the explanation: When Spawn told Ab and Zab to open up the gateway to Hell, the two energies of Heaven and Hell collided and the link with Heaven was destroyed. However, that event led to the potential opening of multiple smaller gateways from Hell. This was one of them.
As for the Box, it?s very important.
