Why does JLA sell and SS doesnt?
Because its reeeeeally hard to write a charcter that can REARRANGE MASS AT THE MOLECULAR LEVEL!!!?
And its boring. Thats why writers spend so much time putting Norrin thru anguish, because he really is way overpowered. too powerful to really be any fun.
He suffers from the same problem as Martian Manhunter, just with a higher level of power. He can just keep pulling out powers and you just go with it. Its the Power Cosmic.
I can't think of amnybody offhand that can actually give the Surfer a hard time, and that is the problem. If the threat isn't over the top, Im not interested, and its hard to be ''over'' the surfer.
And I dont buy the GL thing either. *COUGH* Neural chaff* COUGH*
Norrin is way out of the League's league. Yes, the League is awesome. But they are also essentially mortal, or near mortal. If the Surfer cut loose, he would not only defeat the League, he would bore them to death illustrating the futility of violence etc etc ad nauseum...

bull, GL and Surfer should be equal all that surfer has up on GL is his absorbing junk doesnt GL also absorb powers as well they should cancel each other out in that department, GL goes at him one on one and depending on his will power level he either beats SS alone or handles him long enough for MM and Supes to use WW's lasso to tie him up and then they can hold him down with aquamans help and she can slice his head off simple as that the guy isnt invincible.
OH, as far as GL, the whole corps couldnt shake SS. While exiled to Earth, yes he was powered down. In that era, the JLA (w/GL Corps) might have a chance.
But not now. Not modern SS. He would soon figure out the GLs rings were their power source and poof em. Turn em into cantaloupes, whatever. Just read the comic, look thru the back issues, it seems most people arent familiar with his level of power. SS stands on a cosmic level, with cosmic entities. Galactus came from the Universe that existed before this one, his heralds have nigh unlimited power. Norrin regularly converses with the highest powered cosmic beings in the MU.
Meanwhile, how many Leaguers can traverse the cosmos in the blink of an eye, fly through the heart of a sun and dont need air, food or water?

lol shows how much bullsiht comes into it when the fan boys start splurging crap about SS, he will lose this btw, superman surpasses SS in strength and the rest can make SS surcume to close combat and superman would realize putting him down with his hardest punch will seal the deal.
the league win the majority of course, more a fact as SS has lost to smaller threats than an entire league, which isn't a small threat at all.

You're out of your mind. 🙄 Superman is not going to put him down with one hard punch nor with a threat for close combat. SS is just as powerful close range as he is long distance. Putting Superman close quick is just a faster way of losing your powerhouse.
The best way to take down an SS is to force him to play long range from many angles for awhile then play a close range game. Hit him with GL, MM, and Supes from a distance then have WW hit him up close from behind while he's matching all them in powers. As soon as WW connects with her first hit Superman needs to zoom in and start on him. Then MM needs to get there. Maybe with all three hitting him at the same time Surfer will go down and if he doesn't (which is a possiblity) GL is still standing there waiting for his tired body to go one more round. That's without considering any other JLA members.
With that tactic JLA could win this 7/10
But never underestimate the Surfer.

I would lower their win percentage but it matters not. The trick is getting it to be a close range game and superspeed just isn't going to cut it with Silver Surfer. You need smarts too. So a good tactic with a sneak attack is the best way to open the door to an inside game. And SS is still more than a match in close range. He's very powerful.

I know H2H is not his forte I'm not saying he's going to spank anyone. Essentially I'm saying that just because he's next to you now doesn't mean he can't still hit you with a good cosmic blast. He can get out, but he probably won't. I'm just saying that just because you close the gap doesn't mean you get to count him out.
