Alright Karen, you can do this, after all you were just too scared that time...yeah...thats why... Karen told herself as she focused on becoming a hawk. It worked, she soared up into the air as happyness overcame her. She spotted the abandoned town easily.
Jim walked down an ally as he saw a hawk land and turn into Karen. He turned himself visible.

"So what does that mean? I mean, I knew that having powers was kind of weird but being a mutant changes things completely," Xavier said.
His mom yelled to him, "Honey, Bethany's here!"

Bethany decided that she was going to tell Xavier that she was a mutant. She didn't want to hide anything from him. She loved him too much to do that to him. She knocked on his door. Xavier's mother answered.
"Hello Beth. Come on in. Xavier has company right now, but I'm sure that he'll introduce you to them."
She called Xavier telling him that she was here. Little did Bethany know that this was going to be the moment that changed her life.
Eli and Talia were looking as hard as they could for Justice, Karen and Shadow. Talia brought to life numerous objects ranging from mailboxes to parked cars.
"Go look for Justice, Karen and Shadow. But be secret about it. If any MPs spot you, play it off," she said.
Eli was amazed.
"How are they going to know who Karen, Shadow and Justice are?"
"Because when I bring something to life, my memories of whatever it is that I want that object to do goes into it. That's about all I know about how my power works. How does your's work?"
"Well, I don't exactly know how to explain it, but it has something to do with the time continuum. I can psionically tap into it and "ask if I can get permission" to pause something or somebody. The time it stays paused depends on how large the quantity is, the size, space and range," he told her.
"Woooow! How does the time travel thing work?"
"I have no idea. It's just something that came along with the time control."
They spotted some MPs.
"Time for some work," Eli said. "Don't act suspicious and let me do the talking."
He was scared to death.
It didn't take long. Zack smashed his way through the locked trapdoor leading to the roof, and climbed up onto a billboard, leaning against a dimly flashing light. Casting his mind back to the days before all this, he remembered playing football with some college friends and particularly Adam, who, along with Zack, had been at the centre of the refusal to accept blood tests.
With a start, he recalled Adam's party trick. When they were all wasted, he would hypnotise one of the team and make them fool around. It was only now Zack realised there could have been something more to it than a simple trick.
Ace slowly rested Shadow's head on the floor again. She moved to the cell bars, "If you're going to get us out of here do it now." She told Justice.
Shadow's mind raced, the antidote in his blood furiously fighting the virus. His eyes slowly flickered open as he used the bed to help himself stand. "We busting out of here?" He asked, semi deleriously.
"Shadow...?" Ace said, suprised by his sudden strength and ability to stand, "You should be resting, let your body heal..."
"No...no time....If we're going we have to go now....I'll have plenty of time to rest when I'm dead..." He said, managing a small grin.
"Hey! What are you two doing in this town," two of the 3 MPs asked Eli and Talia. The other one was doing something in their car.
"We were just-," Eli was saying. Talia cut him off.
"What business is it of yours," she asked them.
"What the hell is she doing," Eli thought to himself.
"Uh, you have to excuse her. She's bipolar. Half the time she doesn't know what she's saying,"
The other MP got out of the car. It was the same one Eli saw when he went back in time. One of the MPs that raped him while he was drugged in the camp.
"I know you from somewhere," the Mp said to Eli.
Eli couldn't say anything. If he did, that Mp would be dead in a heartbeat.
Talia noticed it and decided to play along, "Mommy, I need to go to the bathroom. I have to make a boom-boom."
Eli paused still couldn't speak until he heard Talia talk crazy. He was thinking of ways to rip that MP to shreds.
"You see. We need to get going. She's about to miss her medication. Can we go now?"
The MP said, "Wait! Your one of those people that escaped from the camp a few days ago!"
"Yeah. I'm also the one that you and two of your little buddies raped after ya'll drugged me."
He was about to jump to MP but remembered that Talia was with him. He just paused them.
"Run," he told Talia. When she turned around and started to run, Eli punched the Mp so hard that he felt his jaw crack.
"You feel better," Talia asked him.
"A little."
Shadow reached under the bed and pulled out the needle, his mind had taken everything in in his dying state. He staggered over to the prison door and put his hand through the bars, he moved his hands so that he could use it as a lockpick.
"If this opens, don't worry about me, just get the others out of here and run. Your powers should only be out as long as you're inside here so you should have no problem getting the others out." He turned the needle one last time as the door opened slowly. Ace went to him but he shoed her away, she went into the small hallway and touched the locks of the doors, warning the occupents to stay back.
The doors locks exploded as she moved back having kinetically charged them up. She looked back at Shadow who told her and the others to go.
