"Running out of time..." Karen said as if talking to herself, but was telling Jim. She went over to the nearest abandoned car and broke the window, opening the door. Jim had turned visible to show Karen that he was in the car. She got in, found a spare key under the seat, and started the car. As she raced back to the camp Jim went invisible again.
"Sounds like she is coming back, nobody with her." Tom informed John.
Karen pulled up to the camp with a screeching stop while Jim turned visible mouthing: "I am never letting you drive again." They both got out of the car and Jim turned invisible once again. Karen walked into the camp, alarm blaring in her ear as she ran into Tom.
"Why didn't you bring Jim, heard you knocked him out." Tom said, he had left John to great Karen. Jim moved over to Tom, grabbed his gun, and pointed it at Toms head.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Jim said angrily as he pulled the hammer back.
"You shoot me and your sister dies."
Jim pulled the trigger as Karen closed her eyes in disgust.
"He is right, I am going to die..." Karen said. "They put a chip in my neck...one wrong move and I'm a goner..."
"I was good wasn't I," Talia asked Eli. She knew what was going on and what was going through Eli's head and she wanted to change the subject.
"Yeah," he said. "You were."
They heard alarms blaring. As they were running to it they saw that it was coming from the camp that they recently escaped from.
"Looks like we found the crew," Eli said.
When he realized that he or Talia couldn't make an explosion, he decided to travel back in time to get the rest of the team. He brought Jack and Zack with him but couldn't find Jim. He knew enough about his powers to know that if you couldn't find someone in the past that they were involved in something else.
"We have work to do," he told everybody. "Are ya'll ready?"
"Go...I've got something to deal with here first. See you on the other side." Shadow said, using the walls to steady himself as he moved down the corridor.
Ace watched Shadow leave and then saw the man on fire run past, "There's something you don't see every day...Let's go..."
"Not good enough" John said, nodding to several of the guards at the door. They moved around Karen and aimed their guns at her. "I heard your brother in the hallway with Tom." Several of the guards aimed their guns at Jim, "Infa-red goggles, even your powers can't trick them. If they move kill them, and you...why don't we see what that chip will do to your body?"
Shadow moved down the corridor, the guards seemed to ignore him, he looked as weak as he felt and they saw him as no threat. He looked at the walls and followed the blue line that read control room.
John looked up at Karen, smiled and pressed the button on the remote - nothing happened, he pushed again furiously.
Ace picked up several stones from the floor and pocketed half of them. Charging up the other half and throwing them at several of the MP's running down the corridor.

John looked at the wall of water and slowly sneaked out of the room, closing a large blast door type thing behind him. It was to be used incase of an explosion in the camp, anyone inside would be safe. For the first time in his life he was scared. But noe he was safe, though he still worried about Mary out there.
Eli and the rest of the group arrived to chaos. Alarms were going off everywhere. There were lights also.
"I can already tell that this is going to be fun," Talia said. "I just don't know where to start."
"I do," Eli said. "This is what were going to do. We split up in teams of two. This time we're doing it for real. Talia with Zack and Jack with me. We go in there and free as many mutants as possible and do whatever you can to stay alive. We meet back at the apartment in 2 hours but if someone is following you, keep away. Got it, good. Split."
After that, it was on. Eli knew who he had to see and the part that he had to shut down for good.

"No. I didn't even know that I was a mutant, so I'm pretty sure she doesn't. Anyway, you two'll meet her in few minutes. Feel free to go to the table with my parents. Introduce yourselves and you'll be fine," Xavier said.
Xavier was smiling when Bethany saw him. He gave her a passionate kiss.
"I have something to tell you," he said.
"I have something to tell you, also," Bethany said. "But wait until after dinner. Your mom said I could stay and that you have guest."
"Yeah. What I have to tell you has something to do with them as well."
Bethany was confused. What was it that had Xavier so excited. All she knew was that she couldn't wait until after dinner.

Jim obeyed Karen and ran. He was trembling from the fact that the guards had those Infa-red goggles.
