Eh, I can still down Thing, he doesn't have super human speed.
All I have to do is time my attack. Gamora is a world class marksman in her own right. I can shoot Ben in the eyes as he's cocking his arms back to thunderclap (which is a full motion), and that would distract him long enough for Vertigo to use the pulse on him. Couple with KK's ability to size up a humanoid or object and find it's weak point and Gamora's knowledge of humanoid physiology, he could direct Gamora's shots with her blaster to strike at pressure points on his body and disable him. He's still out in the open, and he's created a clearing, so visibility from my vantage point is clear. I can also have Monolith blast him with concussive force beams to the arms and chest and heat blasts to the face, which would throw his motion off as well, though it won't down him.

Also, KK doesn't have super senses, his senses are simply trained to a point where he can achieve a higher state of awareness of his surroundings, just like Karnak (his big foreheaded doppleganger).Karnak makes Tyra Banks jealous with that big ass f*ckin' forehead.
surely that's gotta throw off his balance..... 🙄
or at least make him an easier target

He doesn't seem to be acting very calmly there. The strength and durability don't also matter. Because Karate Kid never hurt him with his own blows. Mon-El did all the damage to himself. Karate Kid used his own momentum at his advantage, what would have happened is Mon-El had used widespread heat vision, or simply punched him. Instead of rushing at him like a idiot. The same techniques that he used at Mon-El won't apply at fight against my team. He can defeat Thing, I know that.
But, if he goes against Blitzkrieg, he will be downed by the lightning in a second. In fact, my orginal plan works well in situation like this. Blitzkrieg can stay in one position in a tree, and Thing can do what he was meant to do in my first plan, draw the attention of the enemy at himself. Blitzkrieg will put an energy shield around himself, so if Karate Kid tries to rush at him, he will get electrocuted.
I'm not even sure if he could find a weak point from the energy shields that Blitzkrieg generates, since it's energy (and to dissipate the shield, which is energy, he would need to touch it, which would get him instantly electrocuted). I could have Agent Zero to be on guard on some of the trees, and if Monolith would be near (shouldn't be really hard to notice a 30-feet granite giant) he would shoot him down with adamantium bullets. I could have Blitzkrieg generate a shield around him too, in case if Karate Kid decides to fly up to trees and eliminate Zero after he has shot down Monolith.
Here is practically my orginal plan with few modifications:
A) Thing would stay in ground, and make as much noise as possible.
B) One of your team would need to take him out. Monolith can't blast him with his heat, since he has taken the full heat from Dragon Man with ease: http://img308.imageshack.us/my.php?image=thingshehulk01315de.jpg)
Concussive blasts wouldn't do much to his durability. Monolith wouldn't have much time to act in any way before Agent Zero would shoot him down.
C) If Karate Kid or Gamora will try to take out Blitzkrieg, they will be either fryed if they touch his shields even the slightest. They don't have high-power weapons enough to bust through the physical shields. Monolith has, but Agent Zero is quick enough to take him out before he starts to do any real damage.
D) Karate Kid and Gamora are your only chance of killing the Thing. However, their attacks are physical, and they need to be close to Thing to do any damage.
E) What about Vertigo, then? Both Agent Zero and Blitzkrieg are up in the trees, 100 feet in the air. With all the sound Thing is making (smashing on the ground, thunderclaps, stuff like that) it would really mess up the hearing of your guys.Thunderclaps are lethal to guys with heightened senses...Karate Kid would probably pass out if he came anywhere near Thing. Wolverine nearly passed out from the moderate thunderclap Grey Hulk made, and Grey Hulk is much weaker then Thing. The sound Thing would make would mess up your guys hearing so bad that they wouldn't be able to pinpoint Blitzkrieg from the trees. Zero wouldn't be able to be picked up either. They would be from the safe distance from teh thunderclaps. The force of thunderclaps would probably mess up Vertigo so bad that her attacks would be rendered ineffective. So Thing wouldn't be felled from those, especially with his already better-then-normal resistance against attacks that attack his senses.
F) Monolith would have been downed by Agent Zero's adamantium bullets. Vertigo would probably have died a long ago because of her normal human durability and Thing's thunderclaps. And unless Karate Kid already doesn't have his ears bleeding, he and Gamora need to take out the Thing who has suddenly turned to be the biggest threat because of his thunderclap attacks. So, while they would move towards the Thing, Blitzkrieg would see them.
ZAP. Your team is down.
I just re-read this.
This plan is severely flawed.
Karnak, Agent Zero, and Bitzkrieg are up on top of burning trees waiting as Thing stands around in the open clapping in the middle of a forest?
I could just have KK give Gamora and Monolith the location of Blitzkrieg and Karnak (their heartbeats) and shoot down the trees they're standing on and in their vicinity, which would force Blitzkrieg to start flying or generate a construct, and would cause Karnak to fall a good 100 feet to the ground. With them out of position, KK taps his chi and goes into super karate mode which enhances his strength, speed, and endurance to superhuman levels, rushes Thing with a flying strike full speed to a pressure point on his chest, followed by a strike to his neck and an armdrag, which is timed to coincide with Agent Zero trying to take a shot at KK, but KK would hear the bullets and dodge them so that as A-Z continued shooting, he inadvertantly hits the downed Thing with an adamantium round.
Now Thing is dead or gravely injured, Karnak has fallen 100+ feet to the ground, and Blitzkrieg and A-Z have given up their positions.
Threat averted.

Hahahaha, that's WAY too elaborate...
And even Pre-Crisis KK is ok. Because of several lines of my twisted logic.
A) Physically, he's within the caps, power enhancing included, and there is NO skill cap.
B) His KO moves are physical. Boiled down, it's a refined version of a punch to the face. Pressure points are no more OHKO than Thing tearing Spider Man's head off.
C) KK was crazy Pre-Crisis, but he can also get blown out of proportion... Sans plot devices, KK should NEVER beat Iron Man in a straight up fight. In overall power, I'd say he's within the rules. He's useful, yes, but not unbeatable by any means. Ask Nemesis Kid. 🙂
Oh, and techncally debate is closed on Sunday, when I post the second round of fights and confirm the winner here... Tomorrow is that last full day, with a few hours (or for when I get up, a few minutes) on Sunday for closing arguments.

Flaws here too.
Would Karate Kid really be able to hear the heartbeats with the thunderclaps messing up his senses? I doubt it. You said that he can hear a heartbeat from a mile away. Well, a thunderclap's sound is about 10,000,000 times stronger then heartbeat. Karate Kid shouldn't be able to operate with the thunderclaps. And he sure as hell couldn't concetrate on individual heartbeats...

"I could hear her heartbeat from a mile away." Sounds like he has super-hearing to me...
Karnak also has a state of awareness (like you said) where he could tell Zero where he is, because your team's flaws (physical, psychological, geological, doesn't matter, he knows ALL the flaws) would appear like beacons to him.

Thing doesn't have super-speed, there is going to be a period of time between each clap, because Thing has to draw his arms back and thrust them forward full force. He''t thunderclap every second, it takes effort. It's all about timing and concentration.
