He was taken under by the water. He had clocked Bats with the shield, and the batarang only nicked Cap.

Does it even matter? Cross-overs aren't even cannon anyway. You can't use those as evidence for this debate.

Good point, I Cap makes the first mistake if you put it that way, since Batman is superior in cunning and intelligence.

You must have got a special copy then because in the one put out by Marvel/DC it was getting hit by the sewer water that caused Cap to lose not anything Batman did

Which was why Batman's attacks were barely moving Cap while Cap's sent Batman flying and why Batman's speech bubbles showed he was out of breathe while Cap's didn't

This guys right about that, I also thought that Batman won, in another occasion he lost, this is not cconclusive though, I might be wwrong

Ditto. Cap had the edge until that water f**ked him up. There is a bad printing out there. Mine has Cap saying he lost & Bats saying that he didn't really win or something like that. I was in the comic book store a while back and the one I flipped through had Batman saying he lost. In both, a jet of water f--ks Cap up. I think they just had the bubbles mixed up in the one where Bats says he lost. That is the most irrelevant crossover ever though, it was fan(boy)-voted. Nothing more'n a popularity contest. Marvel VS DC was horrible.

That's amazing that two seperate prints exist,
and I have to agree with you that these crossovers shouldn't be taken seriously,
we should gauge Cap and Bats on feats they've performed in their own canon continuity series, and figure out who's the better man that way.

If we guage the feats, Bats definately wins, his feats are off the chain.
If we went by that, Bats would take his shield, and he wouldn't even know it was gone, and then try to block with it while Batman kicks him in the stomach and KOs him.
