That's a weak arguement, Bat's has dominated people like Thor in hand to hand combat. See how rediculous it is? To say Cap has beaten people above Batman doesn't mean shit. Here, I'll continue.
Batman defeated a 6th dimensional being in hand to hand combat.
Batman has taken on Superman level foes in hand to hand combat, including Superman, White Martians, Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel. Each of these characters could BREATHE at Cap and kill him.
In JLA/Avengers, Bats said its POSSIBLE for Cap to beat him. then in book 4 he levels Taskmaster with no effort.
Those 6th dimensional beings were turned into 3 dimensional beings by Flash 😐
So that really dosent count. And are we really going to use Avengers/ JLA as canon?!?! 🤨

And none of this changes the purpose of the post, he tried to make a claim that Cap would just plain overwhelm Batman if both had suits and equipment, because he's fought enemies tougher than Batman and came out on top. It was merely a point that Batman has defeated tons of enemies tougher than Cap.
In a straight hand to hand, no shield and gadgets, anyone could argue either way, both have rediculous showings, sometimes doing things that should be way out of their league.
With equipment, its Bats with the majority.
With prep, it's a landslide for Batman.

I just read in a comic Baman admitting to Captain America that Captain America might eventually defeat him, after a long time. His precise words are: "It is conceivable that you might beat me, Avenger. But it will take you a very long time..."
And this is in hand-to-hand, unarmed combat, Cap without his his shield, and Batman without his gadgets.
So I guess that answers that 🙂
Oh, and before you ask, I think that yes, with prep time, AND his gadgets, Batman would probably take Cap. But that is a different thread...
Read between the lines. The Batman who amoung other things is
noted for clever applicationo of discretion and subterfuge B' being diplomatic.
as in, "it is concievable one G. Bush will recieve this terms Nobel Prize for Peace. "
It is possible, Yeah Right.
Telling the toy Soldier, "Not on Your best day" would hurt his feelings.
B' was Humouring Caps . Apocalypse pulled simillar jack moves with Sunfire + Gambit during the Blood OF Apocalypse saga. the other horsemen were involuntarily recruited [that said Pestilence seemed to warm to the job offer after a few words from POC'
apocalypse has a wicked sense of humour addressing the cajun "the Mighty Gambit"
in the Bruce Wayne fugitive Alfred & Sasha Bordeux establish, The Batman "uses people."

With prep, Cap can be pretty good too, I dont think it would be a landslide but Bats would definitly take it 9/10
I know that Batman is a pretty swell fighter but he is not in entirely the top fighter in his level, and Cap is slightly above the normal-human level and is pretty good fighting also, he has the edge. As I said, Batman is focused in many other things beside hand to hand fighting.
Now if it was Bronze Tiger fighting with Cap, then I would certainly doubt about the result. But to me, Cap can win the mayority here "without too much trouble".

Also, Batman is arguably on the level of Dragon, considering he's stalemated Cass while using only one arm for the majority of the match, and has a winning record against Lady Shiva.
I'm not sure I can do much to defend my stance here, Batman has a lot of resources, but I still dont see an opponent that matches the Captain well enough to sketch how this can turn out.
If Batman based in hand to hand fight alone could best the Cap, I think that would show enough grounds to prove that Batman is better than him as a hero overall (and by a landslide). I'm not sure I can lean towards that, I still think that the Cap is a superb hand to hand fighter when it comes to it.
