Guns are handy with long range shooting but if you have someone cornered or in a (fair) match Swords would be mcuh better.

someone obviously thinks kill bill is a work of fact...in the time a swordsman could move 3 meters... a gun (MP5) could fire 40 bullets...
(swordsman would take 3 seconds, MP5 fires 800 bullets a min...it would fire 30 bullets norm as its magazine is only 30 rounds...)

For the fact, I do reject violence, I just happen to know a thing or 2 concerning blades and guns as I practiced using them.
Still with you on the fact that a sword is more practical within the 2 meter range, but just an inch further there is stuff like double 0 shotgun-shells, hollow-point ammo and shit like that.
As I've said, technology made melee redundant.

scientifically...it's a gun...

you stab someone through the stomach with a sword...the area of damage is confined relatively close to where the blade passes through the body...

a bullet, on the other hand, creates a conical shape damage pattern that causes massive damage throughout a huge area of the body

the pictures of someone who has been shot will show a small entry wound..but in the case of something like a 44 magnum...you would have a hole about the size of a phone book for an exit wound

erm, thas a coal miner, n the thing that looks like a rotating saw blade in the front it actually made up of many large buckets{each blade tooth is actually a bucket seen from sideways} its used in large scale open cast soal mining.

either way, a sword is pwnage, a gun shot may own you but a sword makes you suffer as you die, therefore, i say swords are total pwnage

the thing with a sword is that you have to HIT sum1 with it, n thas hard n dangerous, as compared to a gun, on the other hand, if u DO hit, the damage is worse than any gun.

any idiot can use a gun, it takes a lot of skill and fitness to use a sword effectively.

Well on topic, I think a Sword has the chance to damage more than a gun. Guns are more effective though.

Well I was wondering what to compare. One Hit vs oine Bullet or what? I mean there need to be some rules to be fair.

With a sword you can behead an opponent. Much more effective I'll say...
