Why is this thread still here 😑 How come it hasn't been filed in the "What's colder: Ice or fire?" department.

Cause it's not that obvious?

That's incorrect, Bardock. Guess again.

Sword, guns can **** you up. but if made right swords can be designed to rip your guts straight out of your navel.

Tell me of a gun that could do that? Thats what I thought. :

If you stuck an egg beater up your ### and turned it on, it would mess your stuff up. Could a gun do that? Nope!

Is an egg beater more dangerous than a gun....?

tongue_sstongue_ssI'M REALLY NOT SURE tongue_sstongue_ss

That's not the question though my botankish friend. The question is what does more damage, and in this scnenario the egg beater does.

Indeed

The egg beater IS more dangerous than a gun...

So what's the point of this thread? I guess anything can cause more damage than anything else, depending on the situation it's used in.

OOh, oooh, me next! If you drop a sword off Uranus and it defies the laws of gravity which causes it to bounce off Pluto and then hit a person's skull, it does more damage than if you do the same thing with a gun. Wow!

well, that's why I assumed the question was which weapon has the chance to do more damage with one hit/bullet (I didn't consider Big Berthas and such obviously)

erm, thas a coal miner, n the thing that looks like a rotating saw blade in the front it actually made up of many large buckets{each blade tooth is actually a bucket seen from sideways} its used in large scale open cast soal mining.
I am aware that it's a digging machine. I had to go to it's website to get the pic.. it was only a joke.

Still.. it's gotta be the scariest looking digging machine ever.

So I'd say it is:

This Gun

vs.

This Sword

One Shot versus One Hit

Normal Circumstances no fancy stuff

😐

[edit]Is that even a real gun (or sword) , doesn't matter you get the picture...well if you get it at least.

How far (in meters) from the victim is the firing / striking going to occur?

Guns, even small calibers, can kill instantly, something knives never do and swords almost never do. Guns are far more lethal.

As far as you wish, I guess won't make much sense to use the Sword from ten metres away (well except if you aer a good thrower).

do you think its true a sword can block a bullet? i dont think so

depends on what kind of sword. a broadsword or a claymore could easily. a Katana probably couldn't

Just a little thing that has my curiosity worked to the bone .

Which does more damage a gun or a sword ?

Think about it , a bullet can hit it's target in the arm , and the victim can survive . Yet a well placed sword stroke and suddenly the victim needs an amputation . It honestly makes me wonder.....

wouldnt that depend on the bullet or sword respectively?. I mean there are sword types that would probably break your bone rather than cut your skin.. then you have bullets with explosive tips

Exactly. Which is why swords are obsolete, homes.

Yep

Depends what types.
