So, now evil is a cooperation. 😆

Evil is not a thing; evil is an action. Satan is the icon that represents the personification of the actions of evil, because it is difficult for the human mind to see something as not a thing.

I never said that...

The President of the United States is not the United States itself.

Evil exists totally independent of Satan, it isnt an entity, it isnt a sentient force...it is just a thing...like good.

Satan is the first one to have done something evil, he is also the most evil being ever...

However, if he died, evil would still exist because it cannot be destroyed per se. However, if everyone stops doing evil things- evil ceases to be a part of the world...although it could always return.

But you are now talking about real people; Satan is not real. Satan is mythology and is a mystical being.

I believe he is real, you do not.

You believe that when we die we come back again and live all over again in an infinite process...

Well, it really shouldn't...the Catholic bit gave it away.

In your opinion...

I wasn't surprised when you revealed you were a catholic either.

Did you only figure that out today?

Did...all the Pope stuff not give it away?

No. It would be like believing in Santa Clause. Fine for children, but not for adults. Evil is a path (a set of actions).

That is a simplified version of what I believe.

I was just using that as an illustration. Please don't let that side track you from my main point.

Your point doesn't matter.

Whether evil is a path or not, doesn't involve Satan at all.

The real topic is hell. You have come part way with the idea of evil and Satan by separating then. But it seems you cannot make the same leap with the idea of hell and a place.

No it is you who are confused.

The Church does not teach that evil and satan are the same thing...it never has to my knowledge.

Many Churches do. Why do you think I am confused. I have never given you any indication that I was confused.

You have, you seem to think a breakthrough has been made by separating the idea of Evil and the idea of Satan. They were never the same thing....

Whats worse, is because you believe that separation has been made it could be made between Hell and a place...

I don't get it, your not making any sense....

No, I figured you were catholic when you said you were a few months ago.

I don't really keep track of your posts.

Well, you are not as delusional as someone like JIA, but you are still hanging on.

If you wish to see it from my point of view: imagine talking to a person who 100% believes in the Greek gods. When that person said to you that the authority of Zeus is absolute, you would just laugh, because you would know that Zeus was not real. Both satan and hell are not real. However, the mythology of hell is real. You must separate the myth from the icon in order to understand the meaning. Hell is real in our minds. To focus on the myth of a fiery place is to miss the truth.

I don't know Zeus is not real...

I would be skeptical that they really believed in the Greek Gods, given the fact that they have not been worshiped for centuries, in the same way that I am skeptical of "wiccans". Are they really believers or are they just claiming to be?

However, I do not know that their beliefs (if they have them) are not true, I just believe they are not.

Or you could be wrong and thus the argument is reversed at you.

But how do you know that you are right?
