You have misquoted me.....I said Ukraine will get past the group stages, I never said they'd beat Spain, and it should also be noted that Spain had a few decisions go their way, like the penalty for one
They will still qualify easily from their group, and the next two games are where Shevva will really cash in

You, my dear, mis-quoted me. If you look back, all I said was that someone was talking-up Ukraine as a team to watch at the World Cup. However, on the evidence of their 4-0 defeat to Spain, it would appear that your assumption has indeed made an ass out of you. Eee-aw.

Ok, i dont have a lot of time, so ill keep this short...
after all the hype, it seems poland and ukraine arent what they're cracked up to be, but ukraine still have two matches left, maybe they'll improve...
not to be premature, but italy (my personal favourite) and spain were awesome, two of the biggest superpowers in europe show just why they're leagues have such a good reputatiojn (well at least up until this year in serie a anyway), italy outplayed a decent ghana team, and spain ripped apart an average ukraine side, but torres' goal was awesome, as was italy's defence... fingers crossed they keep it up...
argentina were also good, though they lost their momentum in the second half.
as usual england are hyped up to ridiculous proportions... theo walcott, honestly? i very much doubt england will win the world cup unless a serious reshuffle is done. Eriksson has to pick the right players in the right positions imo, and he hasn't done that, and those so called 'world class players' are anything but imo... ferdinand, neville, ashley cole, joe cole, beckham to an extent, need a serious kick up the back side or england'll be going home early.
Owen isn't fit, and pushing wayne rooney into action too soon is a stupid idea... jermaine defoe and darren bent are sitting on a beach somewhere when at least one of them should be in the squad, crouch (who i genuinely think is a decent player), is more a behind-the-striker type player, but he's pretty good at it imo... lampard and gerrard cant seem to function in the same team efficiently (pick one or the other ffs), and michael carrick (an unbelievably gifted player imo), is on the bench. Sven, seriously, get your head out of your ass, its for your own good...
brazil were good in spells, but their class really showed with kaka's goal... once they get going it'll take a very good team to stop them...
