it is worse though, not significantly worse... but if you're happier with your team in the world cup then inevitably you're sadder with them out of it.it isnt better in a 'wow i won the lottery' way... it's just better in the way that you're slightly happier/sadder
No, that means your World Cup experience isn't as good. That's being happy in an instance or due to a certain circumstance. If winning the World Cup brings some kind of week, month or year long light to your life, you have barely got a life.

It wouldn't make my life worse, to any extent. Being sad or being upset doesn't equate to having your life lessened to any degree.

So the problem you see is just the amount of happiness? Half a day is okay, a week means you are a pathetic being?

You're missing the point. You get absolutely nothing out of Germany winning the World Cup, besides feeling happy.
If a team of men winning a game makes your life better, I pity you. You don't learn anything from it.

Sad, then. The day a game has a significant impact on my everyday life is the day I no longer have a life.

why is there a time scale?
England being in the world cup made me happy.... now theyre not... so im slightly less happy.... being happy makes my life slightly better.... so England in the world cup made my life slightly better.
not significantly so, i mean im not gonna sit in the corner and cry about it, but the feeling of disappointment is there... Also now England aren't playing i wont have the experience of standing with my mates in a bar all cheering on England, which was a good thing.
so yea, England being in the world cup made my life slightly better...and that doesnt mean i dont lead a full life anyway.

I still find it hilarious. Beckham, Rooney, Owen etc, the way they do their job has an effect on your life.

are you gonna make a point or just laugh at something i didnt say?
i've typed it out in sections above, giving you time to think between... now please, make a point or shut up.

You also miss the point. If being happy makes your life better because you're in love with a wonderful person or have everything to do with you going right, then fair enough.
If a football game is able to arouse similar feelings, I find that hilarious. Just me, not saying you must agree.

I get absolutely nothing out of posting on KMC either...except for enjoying it -> being happy.
I also watch TV, movies, read books and comics, and hardly learn anythinjg, but it makes my life better.
Seriously, if the games have no impact on your life..what'S the point in watching. Or if it's jsut the games, what's the point in cheering for Brazil?

Don't get touchy because they got knocked out. I read everything you posted, and it's pathetic. I made the point; Beckham and Co have power to make you sad or happy.
I think that's pathetic, you don't.

Well, yeah if your favourite Team winning creates the same amount of feelings as a loved person then that is weird. But no impact? Come on, that's ridiculous.

what? you're trying to put scales into this argument again... ive already said it doesnt have a significant impact so why try put a scale on this?
England being in the world cup and having the chance of winning it did arouse those feelings, but like ive said a few times... not on a huge scale like those things you said would.

If that works for you, fine. I just find that kind of thing sad. "My life is better.", "Why?", "Posting on the net.".

There are things to learn in a lot of those mediums though, nothing in football, at all.

Because they're a team I enjoy. I'd like to see them win, but it has no effect on my life win or lose. They can get beat 5-0 tonight. Sucky? Yes, but as soon as I leave the room, it's gone.

it has nothing to do with them being knocked out, infact ive said 'life goes on'... do you sit watching Brazil with absolutely no feeling of happiness or sadness if they win or lose, respectively

Well, I think that everything I do will make my life better sooner or later..or I wouldn't do it.
And why do you want to learn? Maybe so your life gets better? And actually if you enjoy them that is already an impact on your life. You can't just cancel some things out. You enjoy Brazil playing football, cool, and you do that while living your life,m it is part of your life.
Well, but it is still there, isn't it? It's small, almost insignificant, but it is there.

I honestly find that it has any impact at all to be funny, if you don't, then that's you. That's my point, you can react how you wish, makes no difference to me.
I have freedom of speech though, and I just find it rather funny. I'm not having a personal swipe, honestly. If you're cool with it, fine.

I leave the game when I leave the room. When it's over, that's it, it's nothing more to me than 90 minutes of football. If Brazil lose, I'll just say "Ah, lame." and leave. Same as if they win.
