Well, I think that everything I do will make my life better sooner or later..or I wouldn't do it.

And why do you want to learn? Maybe so your life gets better? And actually if you enjoy them that is already an impact on your life. You can't just cancel some things out. You enjoy Brazil playing football, cool, and you do that while living your life,m it is part of your life.

Well, but it is still there, isn't it? It's small, almost insignificant, but it is there.

Yes, enjoying them playing is different to having your life altered in any way by the result of the game. I don't go about my day with a smile because Brazil played well, or with a frown because they played shit.

It has no impact on me whatsoever. If it's different for you, fine, not for me.

Maybe we just use different words. It will not alter my life significantly but if germany should win, I will be happy. Not forever, and I might think about it, but it will make me happy. And to be honest, I think it's the same for you with Brazil, jsut lookign at the "1958 - 1962 - 1970 - 1994 - 2002" ...

I never said watching entertainment was sad.

I honestly find that it has any impact at all to be funny, if you don't, then that's you. That's my point, you can react how you wish, makes no difference to me.

I have freedom of speech though, and I just find it rather funny. I'm not having a personal swipe, honestly. If you're cool with it, fine.

I leave the game when I leave the room. When it's over, that's it, it's nothing more to me than 90 minutes of football. If Brazil lose, I'll just say "Ah, lame." and leave. Same as if they win.

well i find a complete lack of emotional attachment to a team in the single largest tournemant in the world, with a chance to claim the highest honour in football, completey pathetic.

like ive said before, not really devastated by England losing, bit gutting that they wont be playing anymore, and cant win it... but im not torn up over it. do you cheer when Brazil score? i mean you have brazil sig and ava, a list of their world cup wins, just find it strange that even with all that obvious pride you claim no emotional attachment.

im actually going out in a sec, so this'll be my last post... unless mates are late

Those are the years they've won the World Cup. I enjoy them when they're on, but that's during the games solely. The way those games go has no effect on me at all.

Think what you like, I know how it is for me, you know how it is for you. Just because you can't watch it without having some kind of emotional bond, doesn't mean others cannot.

Well, but those 90 minutes are part of your life too, aren't they?

It doesn't bother me what you think. That's the beauty of actually not caring.

When Brazil score, the most I do is clap, or say "Yes", or say something about the goal. I don't go doing gymnastics. I know it's hard to comprehend, but not everyone has emotional attachments to football.

Yes, so is sitting here. It has no effect on me emotionally, though.

It's not a hard premise to grasp, not being emotionally attached to football.

You seem to somehow separate Time spent on the net, time spent watching football and the rest of your life. That's weird, it's just the same. Whatever you feel during those times are part of your life too. And there's nothing wrong with keeping this feeling 15 minutes after the game or even days later.

I never said there was anything wrong with it at all, I just find it hilarious and a bit pathetic. What you do with your time and how those events affect you are your own business.

The time is the same, the effect that time has, is not. Certain things don't matter, and football- to me- is one of them. I accept that it changes your life, accept that it doesn't have the same effect for me.

Well, "pathetic" is a kind of negative term, but I agree, it does not matter, whatever floats ones boat.

I don't mean it as negatively as it may be being interpreted here, but it's just my opinion. You do what you do.

the best thing to come out of this is that everyone will finally realise how overrated Rooney is... and might, i stress might, shut up about him.

Nah.

Heat, not on form, injury etc.

-AC

it really annoys me, id be standing in bar, sky would cycle through England players and get to Rooney and all the 'Roonaaay, Roonaaay' chants would start up, game begins and he does **** all... but whenever he touched it, turned and took a tame/wide/dismal shot, all the chants would start up again...

he's good, but not 'that' good... he's not even the best technical player in the England side, Gerrard shits all over him, and he's more versatile, less hot-headed and less ugly.

Exactly, yet somehow (to quote Deano) the phrase "bad patch" isn't applicable to Rooney.

-AC

italy all the way 😐

Well, the first half of the match is done.

I have to say, France is really putting up a fight! 😄 I hope they go all the way!

Too bad about Ronaldo's yellow card though. 😬

What an excellent goal, Zidane is amazing.

Whatever you do though, mention the fact that Crouch got beat in the air to an open goal, please.

-AC

so no excuses are allowed then? well heres one. ref was an idiot who was influenced in sendin rooney off. england had to defend for most the game and rely on counters. shame. spolied the game in a way.

bunch of bottlers the england players are,at penaltys anyway. lampard misses but im sure he will score 20 from the spot next season, same with gerrard. when did carragher become a penalty taker? why did he deserve to take one? he was on the pitch 1 minute. they just cnt step up to the challenge at all.

i must say that ronaldo is a bastard, and the rest of the portugese players in trying and influencing the ref in gettin rooney sent off. if i was rooney id bost his ronaldo's face in. what really pissed me off was the little sly wink he did.

at the end, portugal had the bottle, to step up at the end.

what was he meant to do exactly in the role he played? maybe we can play lampard defensive midfield in the next game
