Trying to measure the strength of any Sw character is hard and is Bs in general. For all we know Gg could be the strongest light sabre user in the galaxy, and the only reason he lost the times that he lost was because his asthma was kicking in.

For all you know. For all I know Dooku himself told GG that he won't be able to defeat certain people in lightsaber combat. So he obviously isn't the best lightsaber in the Galaxy and just his asthma prevented every Jedi that faced him from getting destroyed.

By the way: What the **** are you doing on a SW versus board with that oppinion ?

Yes he is, he won. Dooku didnt

What a pathetic rebuttal.

There's always a good excuse for a crappy opinion.

I'm not dissing you, though. 🙂

Great.
Blind Han Solo > Boba Fett (Han survived, Boba didn't)
ROTJ Vader > ROTJ Sidious (Vader won, right ?)
ROTS Mace > ROTS Sidious (Sidious was down on the ground, right ?)
TPM Obi-Wan > Darth Maul (who died, huh ?)
ANH Luke > 100,000s of Imperial Stormtroopers, Officers and Tarkin (who did blow the Death Star up, huh ?)

Ignoring the circumstances is such a funny thing when trying to judge the combat skills of SW characters. 🙄

Thank you, you just indirectly proved my point that I made earlier that stated that the best doesn't always win. It depends on the day...and everyone said, "oh thats bullshit..blah blah blah." So thank you for supporting that.

And I cant go by LOE cause I didn't read it, and the CW cartoons aren't as canonical as the movies. So I'm basing my statements off what the creator of Star Wars said. He didn't say that he knew not to kill Anakin, he said that he knew nothing. You're saying I'm pulling what I want out of that saying that he was meant to kill Anakin, yet You're doing the same thing stating that he knew not to kill Anakin. GL hasn't stated that.
And if you want to base it off common sense...if Sidous wanted to "test" Anakin to see if he was strong enough to become his apprentice, then why the hell would he tell Dooku to HOLD BACK and NOT even be able to see Anakin's potential? Doesn't make sense. Sids doesn't like Anakin, he just thinks he can play him. If Dooku had won, then Sids lost nothing because obviously Anakin wouldn't have been worth it.

Read the novel. Anakin was not meant to be harmed by Dooku. Nowhere in that fight do you see Dooku trying his best.. Anakin won 1 fight, he would lose the other 99 to Dooku.

Prove it.
Novels are NOT as canonical as the movies or GL's word...theres no point in arguing this. He never said Anakin wasnt meant to be killed.

He also never said Dooku was trying. Did you see the way Dooku looked at Palpatine when he was on his knees? And yes the movies are more canon than the books but I know for a fact there were a lot of scenes that he left out, as in Yoda disarming Sidious, things like that. I'll have to watch his commentary at the end of Episode III but some things speak for themselves.

I said he never said that. but since he didnt, you have to go by what he DID say, which is, "Dooku knew nothing." He looked at Sidious cause he cant believe that his master told a Jedi to kill him. And he didnt want to be a ***** and beg for his life, he took it like a man. But was shocked all the same.

OK so we've established Anakin beat him great, Dooku is still superior to him.

Not really . . .

All they've provided is a fallible quote and opinions to judge the books canonical levels.

Dooku being superior to Anakin is as clear as Sidious being lets say Yoda being superior to Obiwan.. Some things are obvious.

saying that staemint enpeaches you from the rank of King of da noobs. Any REAL noop woulkd have been able to identify that as sarcasm. Theirs a new king of the noobs in town boys N girls.

Darth Subjekt, just because Sidious didn't tell Dooku about his plan doesn't mean that Dooku wants to kill Anakin. Dooku had lots of Dark Jedi followers, he wanted to turn Anakin into one.

^exactly

Jango, Asajj, Grievous, Severance Tann, Durge, Quinlan Vos, Sora Bulq, Tol Skorr and Kadrian Sey.

He had alot of powerful apprentices. Why not add another?

It is bullshit in terms of a VS thread because "oh...it might be his lucky day" scenarios don't apply and you don't have the same circumstances as seen in the films. In a versus fight Han Solo armed with a piece of metal and blind would never be able to kill Boba Fett.

LMAO. Show me were GL said that Dooku didn't receive the order not to kill Anakin. He doesn't say something like that. He just says that Dooku didn't know what Sidious was up to (letting Anakin kill Dooku) which was obvious. The other thing isn't contradicted. Period.

And if you want to base it off common sense...if Sidous wanted to "test" Anakin to see if he was strong enough to become his apprentice, then why the hell would he tell Dooku to HOLD BACK and NOT even be able to see Anakin's potential? Notice how Lucas says Anakin prooved his strength by slaying Dooku. Not by defeating him in a lightsaber or force contest. Obviously Sidious wanted to test if he can turn Anakin to the Dark Side (will Anakin give into his anger, instead of following the Jedi rules) and not if Anakin is strong enough to defeat Dooku.

And common sense ? Anakin lost to Obi-Wan who got pwned by Dooku but Anakin is the better duellist ? Yeah, right. Maybe Anakin had his lucky day, maybe Dooku catched a bad day. Doesn't matter. See above.

Wake up. The statement from the novel that Dooku received order not to kill Anakin is not contradicted by the movies or GL's word. In fact the movie shows Dooku using a different style and it shows Dooku taunting Anakin to use the Dark Side which he wouldn't have done if he wanted to defeat Anakin.
