Also, I think the orthodox splitting from Catholicism was considered the beginning of that church. I might be wrong there though.

You have failed to address murders commited by the Protestant church as well.
I am defending the views of Catholics, I am not Catholic myself. Catholics are Christians because they believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah. No credible source in the world denies that Catholics are Christians. If you can't accept this, I question your knowledge of Christianity.
I blame all Christians, Orthodox, Catholic, and Protestant for killing in the name of their faith. Until you can present facts to support you're argument, I believe I have made my point.

I was thinking of the Byzantine empire and their continous was with the Arabs. Constatninople alos allowed the Catholics to use it as a launching point for the crusades. I don't have more detail sorry, but since every religion has, at some point in thier history, been militant, I doubt Othodox Christians are exempt. I'll look into it.
Maybe you know more about this then I do...If you do, let me know.
