Wrong... often times the failure is further back in time. The faulty alliance structure before WW1 for to blame for all the mistakes that followed. We are still suffering from those mistakes. What Hitler did was incredible in the beginning, only from a tactician’s point of view. For it was Hitler himself who lost the war. The US had a chance to assassinate Hitler early on, but they choose no to because if he had died then Rommel would have taken command, and there is a good chance that Germany could have sewed for peace.

Not really. Religious lines lead to violence. Most religions that I can think of have had some period when they started wars based on religious teachings. Christianity promoted killings and murders. You claim a "pure" religion, but then blast Islam as some sort of pseudo-religion. Its not, and its not to the people that believe it. Since you the only "pure" religion you refer to is Chirstianity, I question your argument's validity. it seems to me that you just spend time tooting your view of Christianity's horn and simply just reference other religions as false. I don't buy either point.

I think Christianity is a religion. I just think that peejay's claim that only
'true' religions show nonviolence is contemptuous. His claim is not the basis for Christianity being a religion.

All religions have good and bad parts ot them. If there was one that was perfect, that fulfilled everyone's need, we would have a global religion. Fortunately, we don't, so people pick and choose. Religion is a choice, one that we all make, not a law.

Good and Evil is a social perspective created by men to label persons, places or things. What may seem evil to you is good to me and vice versa it's a perspective.

Its hardly absolute. And "good" and "evil" are so laced with overtones of love, hatred, and societal stigma that when they're used they hardly mean anything. I personally try never to use them, especially evil. It blatantly ignores any rights of the opposing side.
