That ****ing last boss is ****ing bullshit.
Ive playing hardcore until then and it was soo ****ing hard I had to go to casual, but wait its still ****ing hard.
First, you can only shoot him when the kryll are out, but if they out, you can ****ing move unless you run right into him. So pretty much you gotta stay there and take it like a *****. Second, he walks right towards you, so because of the decision to put everything around black, you cant run anywhere because you'll die...and to top it off, you have to ****ing shoot him eight hundred times. I took 12 torque bows to his face and body and he doesnt die.
Considering the gameplay is soo good, this boss is a piece of shit. Alteast give us light so we can atleast run away from him, but no, why would they do that....and to top everything off, when I finally get away from him, i start running, and because they'res pipes in the middle of the way...and run right into them and go into cover, but wait, my back is completly exposed to him. Great.
I dont mind an hard game, but too me this boss is unfair. Am I missing something?
That was strange.
Pretty much after the 5 try after that crazy rant, I beat him. But it was wierd.
3 sniper shots to the head, one grenade, and I ran to the other end near the machine gun, and he came.....I took out my lancer, and blindfired 2 clips into him and he died....after all those bow hits, sniper hits, 2 clips of machine gun fire killed him.
Oh well. Looking forward to online.
Sometimes I hate XBOX Live.
I'm in a perfectly good game with 8 people and nothign is going wrong, (this is after 10 tries to get into another games). Im playing well, best player on my team and the match was over.
The host was like, "anybody who cant hear us, leave and then come back". I didnt. Why would I leave. I dont have an microphone that works so I just hit ready. So they guy is like, "leave now and come back so you can hear us." Then he kicks me out of an game that only has 3 people in it. It's not like it was full. Stuff like that annoy the crap out of me.
Anways, the game is awesome on online. I really like that whole pop and shot mechanics. Its funny when a guy tries to chainsaw me to death, and shotgun his ass.

Yea I think this game has been given a little too much credit. Its good but its not as amazing as everyone says. Graphicly and technicly yea it is, but gameplay no it isnt.
What did you guys really expect it to be? No game can be your wet dream. Look at the game in the genre and compare it to other games that are out now with the same' compare dto those it is one of the best. Don't compare a Shooter to a puzzle game or so on! This game won't make you orgasm but other games won't as well unless you really enjoy it that much(Everyone has different tastes so to some one the game could be the best thing since sliced bread and to other it could be shit they step in on a monday morning)

i think that as a gaming society the majority of us are too easily entertained, hence the popularity of the shooter. got the game yesterday and i dont know, im getting tired of shooters. the graphics are very stunning, but a game needs more than just good graphics for me to fall in love with it. im getting tired of the same thing over and over. shoot, flank, shoot, flank, stab, heal, cover, shoot, grenade, cover, shoot, flank, heal, run, die, reload checkpoint, repeat, run, shoot, heal, explosion, scripted event, cutscene with vulgar language and hand-held mimicked shots. the story i didnt really care for. with every game there should be some sort of comic relief, and im talking more than just things like the character saying 'nice' when he picks up a grenade. there are so many places for that in grunt games, ala Aliens: "We're all gonna die man!" i think the only thing theyve expanded on in this game is the graphics. also, the villians ARENT scary, or intimidating. when youre mowing down several hundred of them every level, it gets kinda repetitive. i think as a gamer i need to stop falling into the habit of calling a game amazing because of the eye-candy. aside from the graphics, Gears of War feels like every other shooter ive ever played.

I just beat the game. Really the only major fault I can appoint this game is that the campaign is very short. Would have really liked it had they developed the story/characters more. Otherwise, the game's a blast to play. Multiplayer is so far the best MP game the 360 has by far, and the Co-op is just so good that it must be fattening.

I just dont understand why ever game has to be innovating.
If the game is built well, plays well, sounds well, and and looks well, why cant it be a damn good game.
Innovation is key, and Gears Of War is not completly innovating, but the gameplay is done so well that who the hell cares. I rather have a game like that, then a game that has some new gameplay element but boring as hell because the developers wanted to make that one element good.
I also like how the MP is 8 players, it just feels right
