Gears of War

God, this game looks so amazing in HD, I thought it looked great on my old crappy TV, but man, man oh man, I can't believe how good it looks now.

God you've got everything up and running fast.

What's entailed in getting a High Definition Television up and ready?

Is yours up on the wall and everything?

No, I got my TV last night, today I got a new cabinet to put it in since my old one was old and small, my 32" TV couldn't fit. So I had to put that together, with my dad's help of course. We started putting everything together at about 2, we finished at about 6:30.

But when I fired up Gears of War in HD, it was all worth it.

Oh ok. Sounds nice.

Makes you wonder why you didn't just get a new High Definition Television to begin with huh.

Because I couldn't justify it when my old TV was perfectly good. But I sure wasn't complaining when it broke, was basically like "Oh, it's starting to screw up, better buy a new one".

What I don't like about the new maps is the lack of weapons other than grenades(both maps), sniper & Boom Shot(Old Bones)

Well, for Raven Down, any other weapons in that mao would be pretty useless because of its size.

Old Bones should have some more, say a torque bow (my favourite weapon).

I think for raven down having the hammer burst and Boom Shot would make it even more chaotic, and there are plenty of obstacles to take cover from.

It would be extremely hard to get the weapons, everytime I play it, after about 3 seconds, I already have half their team on my ass, and two of my time are already dead.

Weapons should be hard to get IMHO.

I thought the voice acting was too Gruntish but other than that, the game is flawless.

There really isnt much storyline however I thought the voice acting was fine and well to the characters style.

Yeah, I just don't like the Grunt-brusqueness to it; sure, it makes them seem really tough, but I'd prefer them to sound more human, like some guy you met off the street.

It's all part of the design...normal humans do not belong in the Gears world. They either get headshot or impaled by General RAAM; unfortunately my man Carmine and Kim had to find out the hard way.

Finally beat the game on co-op last night.... it was absolutely AMAZING. I never thought that any game would be able to beat Halo..... but damn this one came friggin close.

Im still trying to finish the insane. im only on act 3 for it. Of course im not doing this alone tho.

How did Carmine die? Was he the one who got ripped apart (off screen) from the Berserker?

No, Carmine got sniped in the head, the other guy who ran straight into the berserker was just a nobody in alpha squad.

I'm on Raam/last act and chapter on Insane with an AI controlled Dom who's good for nothing.

Oh yeah, I remember now.... poor guy
